  • Patent number: 4787137
Abstract: In order that lowering of the transfer tube of the head may take place properly, motors and linkages enter into action. A particular arrangement of a pivot of one lever, comprising a notch on the pivot and an aperture in a bearing piece, brings about a compulsory first phase of lowering and a containable end of lowering. The proper adjustments are simpler, annoyances due to inertia are eliminated. An automatic arrangement allows the release force to be regulated. Centering jaws are actuated radially by a similar motor-operated control arrangement. The machine is especially suitable for producing electronic circuits.

  • Patent number: 4563122
Abstract: An industrial robot is described having a movable arm, a wrist pivotally mounted for motion about an axis at the free end of the arm, and a cylindrical shaft perpendicular to said axis and rotatably mounted on the wrist. To enable it to be used for holding components subjected to forces, as during grinding operations, the robot is provided with a pair of jaws that can be clamped on the shaft and are able to prevent both the shaft from rotating and the wrist from pivoting. Movement of the jaws is controlled by shoes which are slidably mounted on a pair of circularly curved parallel rails having a common center coinciding with the pivotal axis of the wrist.

  • Patent number: 4306343
Abstract: A fabrication procedure for crystal resonators in which belted component holders are used, each accomodating the constituent elements of a resonator. When the above-mentioned elements are assembled, the component holders serve the purpose of assembly fixtures. The assembled resonators are retained in the component holders which thus also provide a packaging function for the final products. The component holders have elastically deformable clamps which accomodate the constituent elements of the resonators to be assembled and have support sections which receive the crystal element of each resonator.
