  • Publication number: 20020153726
Abstract: A mobile electric power plant for quick emergency deployment with quickness gained by pre-engineering to minimize permanent construction and its associated rules, rulings, hearings, controls, and permits, the whole comprising a hybrid vehicle such as a diesel-electric locomotive or truck adapted to rapid and economical reversible conversion to stationary power supply by power conversion gear and self-erecting transmission line and foundation means and by environmentally correct fueling.

  • Patent number: 4538722
Abstract: A shifting conveyor apparatus with a belt conveyor laterally shiftable, by flexibly mounted flexible rails therealong, towards a progressive excavation, including a travelling varingly-curving rail-engaging guide array for carrying and drawing the conveyor laterally by the rails, keeping the rails and the conveyor belt in safely controlled and guided distributed travelling curvature.

Date of Patent: September 3, 1985
    Assignee: McNally Pittsburg, Inc.
    Inventor: Maurice N. Sumner
  • Patent number: 4335752
Abstract: The method of providing submarine pipeline adapted for connecting and repairing, providing flanges therealong at intervals and means to repair an interval length of pipeline by connecting repair pieces to part of said flanges, including preferred steps of submarine removal of a damaged interval length with surface preparation and subsequent submarine installation of a replacement interval length.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 7, 1977
Date of Patent: June 22, 1982
    Assignee: The Sea Horse Corporation
    Inventor: Maurice N. Sumner
  • Patent number: 4203687
Abstract: A system of submarine cranes suited to handling pipe, fittings, tools and machinery on the marine floor, as by divers, and having simple articulate carrying crossbeams with hydraulic motive means and controls, and possible balloon assistance and means to hump and bend, couple, and repair pipelines and machines under water.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 12, 1978
Date of Patent: May 20, 1980
    Assignee: The Sea Horse Corporation

  • Patent number: 4038830
Abstract: A modular system of offshore structures having one or more hyperboloidal structures which are adapted to cooperate with a variety of ringlike foundation elements, for example by mooring or rigid attachment. The hyperboloidal structure comprise pile arrays, frames and shells. Hyperboloidal pile array structures are composed of members which conform to the downward clockwise and counterclockwise ruling on a hyperboloid of revolution of one sheet, thereby providing useful attachment means to the marine floor, which has resistance to scouring and provide both tension and compressive resistance to the force of the sea. The hyperboloid shells are broad at the base for support and on the top to provide a large work area and when optimally placed, they are narrow at the water surface where the greatest environmental impact occurs.

  • Patent number: 3974657
Abstract: A modular-like system of offshore structures for imparting flexibility to the offshore exploration and production and transportation industries so that exploration, production and development work can take place over a large range of marine depths and operational circumstances with one or more marine vessels.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 8, 1975
Date of Patent: August 17, 1976
    Inventor: Maurice N. Sumner
  • Patent number: 3948056
Abstract: A modular-like system of offshore structures for imparting flexibility to the offshore exploration and production and transportation industries so that exploration, production and development work can take place over a large range of marine depths and operational circumstances with one or more marine vessels.

  • Patent number: 3946684
Abstract: A modular-like system of offshore structures for imparting flexibility to the offshore exploration and production and transportation industries so that exploration, production and development work can take place over a large range of marine depths and operational circumstances with one or more marine vessels. In particular there is disclosed a novel combination of a bottle structure and a jackup structure which provides a bottle jackup with the characteristics of both submersible and semi-submersible rigs.
