  • Patent number: 8006531
Abstract: A bending machine designed to bend and shape sheet metal comprises a blade-holder unit (10) with a ā€œCā€ shaped cross-section, mobile along two mutually orthogonal directions with respect to a fixed bed, and on which one or more bending blades are fixed. This machine comprises a kinematic system for driving the operating units, in which servomotors (15, 21, 22) and epicyclical reduction gears are used for the movement of the blade-holder unit (10). Moreover, the blade-holder unit (10) of the bending machine uses an articulated mechanism consisting of two mechanical units (13, 14) which form a closed kinematic chain with five members connected by five kinematic turning pairs.

  • Publication number: 20100246036
Abstract: A method for the production of mirrors entails performing a preliminary controlled pre-deformation treatment of an optical system, consisting of the following phases: calculation of the deformation of the optical system due to a selected reflecting treatment; design of a deforming layer such as to produce on the optical system a deformation opposite to the one caused by the selected reflecting treatment; and deposition on the optical system of a deforming layer on which the selected reflecting treatment will subsequently be deposited.

  • Patent number: 4369380
Abstract: A control circuit provides current to the bases of two transistors connected in a Darlington configuration. A load in series with the Darlington collector receives the turn-on current given the improved current gain of this configuration. A diode connected between the Darlington input transistors base and collector begins conduction as soon as the input transistor is saturated. The current applied directly to the base of the Darlington output transistor is enough to saturate the latter at the operating output load current. The invention permits the use of a Darlington switch, and allows the additional advantage of the low saturation voltage of a single transistor.

  • Patent number: 4355344
Abstract: To protect a discrete electronic component such as a bipolar transistor or a field-effect transistor against destructive current surges, one or two ancillary transistors are formed in the same semiconductor body which has a major portion thereof overlain by an output electrode constituting a variable-voltage terminal connected to a load. This major portion, acting as the collector of the bipolar transistor (or of two such transistors in a Darlington configuration) or as the drain of the FET to be protected, also forms the collector of each ancillary transistor whose emitter is grounded through a constant-current generator or through a resistor.
