Abstract: The sheets conveyance device, used in a converting press for paper or cardboard sheets comprising at least one feeding station, a converting station, a waste stripping station and a delivery station for converted sheets, comprises two endless gripper bar chains (5, 6) assembled for conveying the sheets from the feeding station to the delivery station, a transverse driving shaft (2) equipped with driving wheels (3, 3′) of the endless gripper bar chains (5, 6) and at least one device for sheets capture secured to the endless gripper bar chains (5, 6). The transverse driving shaft (2) is separately driven from the other press stations by at least one independent motor/reductor (1). The independent motor/reductor (1) is able to function by driving cycles including at least one motion phase and one deceleration and/or breaking phase controlled by a control device (CDE), each independent motor driving cycle duration being equivalent to a converting cycle duration of said converting station.

Abstract: A device for controlling the production quality of a press, which manufactures package blanks from a sheet of material by transferring the sheet of materials, such as paperboard or corrugated board, chronologically through an infeed station, a die-cutting station, a waste-stripping station and a delivery station, has an arrangement for controlling the printing and blanking quality which includes a camera scanning the color register marks and a register mark for the positioning of the blanking of the sheet. The camera is located at the outlet of the die-cutting station so that it can scan the marks applied on the lower side of the sheet. The device includes a marking device, which is driven by the arrangement for controlling the printing and blanking quality, to mark a defective sheet and is positioned in the delivery station of the press.

Abstract: A machine, which is designed for converting sheets into blanks for forming packages, has at least an infeed station, a processing station for cuting and creasing the sheets of material into blanks, which processing station includes an upper and lower platen and a chain transfer conveyor for moving the sheets between the platens and any additional stations, such as waste stripping stations and delivery stations. To remove a front waste held in the gripper bars of the transfer conveyor after the blanks have been separated from the sheets, the machine includes a front waste removal station positioned above the upper platen of the processing station.

Abstract: A gripper bar fitted on drive chains and destined to grip and carry plate shaped sheets of material through printing, cutting and similar machines to produce a package characterized by the bar including a hollow profile on which the grippers are fastened. Every gripper consists of a flat spring attached at one end to a leading edge wall of the bar and having the other free end taking a rest position engaging a gripper counterpart which is situated on the trailing edge of the bar. The flat spring has a length greater than the width of the bar and passes through the bar before reappearing through a window on the trailing edge of the bar.
