Abstract: Methods and systems for selecting and displaying items includes causing the display of a large image of a selected item, a plurality of view icons indicative of different views of the selected item, and item details associated with a selected item. After the customer selects a view and/or color for the large image and mouses over the image, a zoom box appears and a corresponding magnified image window appears with a magnified image of the zoom box image for the selected view and color of the item.

Abstract: With a sign language computer interface, a user may perform one or more gestures in accordance with a recognized sign language, and have the gestures translated into information or instructions for use by one or more computers. Such interfaces may capture video imagery of a user performing gestures using one or more cameras, sense the gestures expressed in the video imagery, search a library for phrases corresponding to the gestures, and display one or more of the phrases to the user, who may indicate whether the phrases are consistent with his or her intended communication. The interfaces permit a user to communicate with computer-based systems the exclusive use of gestures, and without a single keystroke or mouse click.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for providing a product comparison application utilizing crowdsourcing. A network page is rendered providing a grid comprising a plurality of products, product attributes, and/or attribute data. Additions and/or modifications of attributes, products, and/or attribute data are assigned a score to determine which addition or modification to display and/or associate with a product catalog. The grid provides a view for comparison of products.

Abstract: A catalog or database of items capable of being searched may be organized into a browse tree structure. In accordance with aspects of the present invention, attributes that describe and are common to the items in each category can be assigned or associated with the browse node for the category. Such “browse node attributes” may be displayed with their respective associated item category. Accordingly, as a user searches the browse tree and or narrows his/her search to more specific item categories in a browse tree, the attributes corresponding to the more specific item categories can then be displayed as a superset of the attributes corresponding to a less specific category. Furthermore, the arrangement of attributes displayed to the user can be customized according to user preferences, clickstream analysis, or other techniques and the user may select which attributes are to be displayed.
