  • Patent number: 5694891
Abstract: In an internal combustion engine having at least one working cylinder, a reciprocating working piston is connected by a piston rod to a second piston which can reciprocate in a supercharge cylinder. The common piston rod is also connected with a crank drive of the internal combustion engine. Corresponding inlet, outlet and connecting channels are provided on the working cylinder and the supercharge cylinder. The inlet channel discharges into the wall of the supercharge cylinder at a location which is unblocked at the top dead center position of the working piston or of the supercharge piston. Located between the working cylinder and the supercharge cylinder is a combustion mixture connecting channel which connects an opening at the end of the supercharge cylinder to an inlet arranged in the working cylinder. The inlet is unblocked when the working piston is at the bottom dead center position.

  • Patent number: 5133366
Abstract: Systems for the making of cigarettes by the consumer himself comprise a non-smokable prefabricated product, namely an industrially prefabricated sheathed tobacco skein. The sheathed tobacco skein comprises a skein sheath adapted in its diameter to be inserted into the cigarette paper shell of the finished cigarette, having a skein-like tobacco filling corresponding to an individual smoking portion. The non-smokability of the prefabricated product is preferably ensured by a perforation of the skein sheath. The various disclosed systems of the invention are characterized in that for completing the cigarette by the consumer, no axial ejection of the tobacco filling from the skein sheath is necessary.

  • Patent number: 5018536
Abstract: A method and a set of materials with which the consumer can make high-quality cigarettes without the disadvantages of known stuffing devices and without manual skill.A manufactured prefabricated sheath tobacco skein, not in itself smokable, comprises skein sheath which is open at the end faces and a skeinlike tobacco filling which can be transferred by means of a plunger enclosed in the packet into a cigarette paper shell. The sheathed tobacco skein is introduced into a prefabricated cigarette shell, or a cigarette paper is gummed round said skein, and the skeinlike tobacco filling is then pushed by the plunger, which is introduced into the skein sheath out of the sheathing and into the cigarette shell or the shell gummed together from cigarette paper.
