  • Patent number: 7070132
Abstract: A yard waste chipper-shredder machine includes a reversible electric motor to drive a roller at low speed and high torque. The waste material is fed into an inlet chute and is crushed and ground into mulch between the roller and the chute for discharge through an outlet chute. The chute is spring biased to reduce jams. The machine operates quietly. Jams are quickly and easily removed by reversing the motor.
