  • Patent number: 10724399
Abstract: A turbine ring sector made of ceramic matrix composite material has a portion forming an annular base with an inner face for defining the inner face of a turbine ring when the ring sector is mounted on a ring support structure and an outer face from which there extends an attachment portion for attaching the ring sector to the ring support structure, the ring sector further including inter-sector faces, each for facing a neighboring ring sector when the ring sector is mounted on the ring support structure; wherein the inter-sector faces are coated in an environmental barrier that is doped with an electrically-conductive compound and that presents at least one slot.

  • Patent number: 10378385
Abstract: A turbine ring assembly includes ring sectors made of ceramic matrix composite material forming a turbine ring, and a ring support structure having first and second annular flanges, each ring sector having tabs. The first tab includes an annular groove in which there is received an annular projection of the first flange. The second tab of each ring sector is connected to the ring support structure by a resilient retention element. The second tab includes an opening in which there is received a portion of a retention element secured to the second annular flange of the ring support structure. The retention element is made of a material having a coefficient of thermal expansion that is greater than the coefficient of thermal expansion of the ceramic matrix composite material of the ring sectors.

  • Patent number: 7569251
Abstract: A method of forming a gas turbine part includes forming a bonding underlayer on a superalloy metal substrate, the underlayer including an intermetallic compound of aluminum, nickel, and platinum, and forming a ceramic outer layer on the alumina film formed on the bonding underlayer. The bonding underlayer essentially comprises an Ni—Pt—Al ternary system constituted by an aluminum-enriched ?-NiPt type structure, in particular an Ni—Pt—Al ternary system having a composition NizPtyAlx in which z, y, and x are such that 0.05?z?0.40, 0.30?y?0.06, and 0.15?x?0.40.
