  • Publication number: 20230400903
Abstract: A system transports and deploys of Internet of Battlefield Things (IoBT) sensors. A transportation rail has a first dovetail engagement accepting a respective second dovetail engagement of each IoBT sensor. A charging carrier has third dovetail engagements each accepting a respective fourth dovetail engagement of a battery. The charging carrier charges the batteries during transport. A respective fifth dovetail engagement of each IoBT sensor also accepts the respective fourth dovetail engagement of each battery. The battery powers the IoBT sensor during deployment. A method transports and deploys IoBT sensors. The IoBT sensors on the transportation rail are transported together with the batteries on the charging carrier, with the charging carrier charging the batteries. An IoBT sensor is dispensed from the transportation rail, and a battery is dispensed from the charging carrier. The IoBT sensor joined with the battery is deployed, with the battery powering the IoBT sensor during deployment.

  • Publication number: 20230371208
Abstract: A backing plate assembly with jack screw for bare die device heat sink applications to ensure uniform loading. The jack screw is used to force a PCB support plate and mounting plate apart, and by doing so, compresses a plurality of springs and applies uniform pressure to the heat sink, which in turn applies pressure to the bare die of the BGA device. The single jack screw is essential to the design, as it creates a single point to apply torque and compress all the springs at the same time. A lock screw is meant to maintain the position of the PCB support plate and the mounting plate. Prior to assembly, the lock screw keeps the PCB support plate and mounting plate together to ease installation.

  • Patent number: 11042422
Abstract: A hybrid binary executable under both native processes and compatibility (e.g., emulated) processes. When the hybrid binary is loaded by a native process, the process executes a native code stream contained in the binary directly on a processor. When the hybrid binary is loaded by a compatibility process, the process executes an emulation-compatible (EC) code stream directly on a processor. When executing in a compatibility process, the EC code stream can interact with a foreign code stream that executes in an emulator. The foreign code stream can be included in the hybrid binary itself, or can be external to the hybrid binary. The hybrid binary format supports folding of code between the native code stream and the EC code stream. The hybrid binary comprises a set of memory transformations which are applied to image data obtained from the binary when the hybrid binary executes under the compatibility process.

  • Publication number: 20130340366
Abstract: A ratcheting take-up device that compensates for imperfect alignment in a tie rod continuity system in the frame of a building wall. The upper ends of the tie rods are tightly clamped within the take-up device by domed segments inserted in a bowl-shaped housing. The segments are also forced together by a compression member in the housing. The domed shape of the segments and the bowl shape of the housing cooperate so that the segments can rotate in any direction to accommodate tie rods that are not perfectly vertical, without a corresponding loss of strength in the connection.

  • Patent number: 8552231
Abstract: The invention provides synthetically derived distillate kerosene produced by catalytic conversion of Fisher-Tropsch derived light olefins to distillates (COD) and hydrotreating thereof. The kerosene boils in the range of about 170 to 250° C. and includes less than 10% n-paraffins, more than 75% iso-paraffins and less than 1% aromatics.

  • Publication number: 20080250699
Abstract: The invention provides a process for the production of synthetically derived diesel and diesel produced by the process. The process includes the steps of catalytic conversion of Fisher-Tropsch derived light olefins to distillates (COD) over a zeolite type catalyst at pressures of more than 50 barg, one step hydrotreating the COD product to simultaneously hydrogenate both olefins and aromatics, and collecting a hydrotreated fraction boiling between about 180° C. to 360° C.
