    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of detecting crack propagation in a wall of a metallurgical furnace by a detection unit. The detection unit is configured to extract one or more dominant frequency parameters from the corresponding reflected stress signal, and analysing, a phase from each dominant frequency parameters. The analysing of the phase comprises determines, one or more coefficients for each dominant frequency parameters. The detection unit then identifies, a dominant phase based on the corresponding one or more coefficients and selects a frequency relevant to a thickness parameter based on the dominant phase. The crack propagation in the wall of the metallurgical furnace is then detected based on the frequency relevant to the thickness parameter at each of the one or more locations. The present disclosure provides an accurate method for determining condition of refractory lining by elimination unwanted noise signals.

The plurality of subsystems also includes a cocoon analysing subsystem, configured to identify shape of the cocoon from the detected cocoon contours by using a shape function, compute a set of the parameters, validate the set of parameters with prestored parameters and determine the quality of each of the one or more silk cocoons based on the results of validation. The system uses OpenCV functions of python to do such complex work of grading silk cocoons. Such process reduces manual labour all together.

    Abstract: Techniques are described for performing near visually lossless video recompression. The disclosed techniques generate video frames having relatively small bitrates and relatively small file sizes while retaining approximately a same level of visually perceivable video quality as the originally recorded video frames. In general, recompression of a video frame takes an input video frame and produces a second copy of the video frame that has the same or lower Nitrate. The proposed techniques address the problem of recompressing a video frame with no perceivable loss in visual quality (i.e., visually lossless recompression) compared to the original recording of the video frame. In addition, the disclosed techniques provide one-step recompression of video frames that includes a single decoding and encoding of each video frame.
