  • Patent number: 5755337
Abstract: A record keeping holder having a C-shaped or U-shaped bracket for removably holding a tape marker flag dispenser containing multiple tape flags of various colors and a writing surface suitable for recording information pertaining to food items placed in a food storage unit, such as a refrigerator or freezer. The holder is provided with a color coded bar adjacent to the writing surface having color indicators that correspond to the tape flag colors and a writing instrument holder adapted for removably holding a writing instrument. In use, a single tape flag is placed on a food storage container to designate, in conjunction with the writing surface, what food item is contained therein. Later retrieval of the food item is facilitated by the sighting of the tape flag corresponding to the color indicator adjacent to the description previously recorded on the writing surface.

  • Patent number: 4557503
Abstract: A device for binding the marginal edge of materials is provided which takes the form of a continuous section of resilient material. The section of the device includes a pair of legs on which the closing force can be released to allow the acceptance of the materials, a spline around which both of the legs pivot to close over the edge of the materials to hold them securely by the material engaging ends of the legs when a moving means is engaged to produce a closing force. A latch is provided to lock the moving means in a position whereat the legs are closed.

  • Patent number: 4429624
Abstract: This arrangement provides the stirring of the contents of a container. The motive force for the stirring action is supplied by connection of the stirring means to a selected pulley shaft of a pulley arrangement on which an alloy belt of nickel and titanium is placed so that the belt can be cycled through a region of temperature greater than the crystalline phase change temperature of the alloy causing the alloy to attempt to attain its original shape which for a predetermined shape will create a torque on the pulley arrangement and cause the heated portion of the belt to enter a region of temperature less than the crystalline phase change temperature of the alloy where the alloy can be stretched before reentering the region of temperature greater than the crystalline phase change temperature of the alloy.
