Abstract: A non-aqueous secondary battery including: a positive electrode plate including a positive electrode current collector in long strip form, and a positive electrode active material layer adhering to the surface of the positive electrode current collector; a negative electrode plate including a negative electrode current collector in long strip form, and a negative electrode active material layer adhering to the surface of the negative electrode current collector; a porous insulating layer interposed between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate; a non-aqueous electrolyte; and a spacer in film form disposed at least between the positive electrode plate and the porous insulating layer or between the negative electrode plate and the porous insulating layer, the spacer being constituted of a resin dissolvable in the non-aqueous electrolyte.
