The assembly lubricant compound may reduce friction and scoring between contacting surfaces of the assembly, especially during the initial break-in of the assembly. During the initial break-in period, the compound may permit the contacting surfaces of the assembly to seat, or establish a pattern of surface mating, with limited wear and with limited material transfer or scoring.
