  • Patent number: 11493509
Abstract: A lateral flow assay device includes a test strip that is configured to receive a sample fluid and detect a presence of antibodies to one or more of a plurality of proteins of the target pathogen. The lateral flow assay device includes a conjugate pad and a membrane. The conjugate pad contains a plurality of the proteins of the target pathogen, each conjugated with a label. If the sample fluid contains antibodies that are specific to the target pathogen through any of the target pathogen's proteins, a binding takes place between those antibodies and the corresponding tagged protein. The membrane may include a plurality of test lines. Each test line may contain the immobilized binding reagent to one antibody class, resulting in the concentration of all the molecules of that antibody class on the test line.

  • Publication number: 20220347051
Abstract: An intravenous (IV) fluid delivery system include first and second IV bags and a fluid delivery device. The IV bags are made of many fluidic channels that keep the fluid distributed across the bags such that the bags may be easily and comfortably wrapped around the arm and shoulder of a person. The fluid delivery device includes a processor controlled electromechanical delivery mechanism that controls a positive displacement pump. The pump moves the fluid into a tube and a needle that is connected to a person's vein. The processor repeatedly turns the pump on or off to gradually transfer the fluid from the IV bags into the person's vein. The processor controls the granularity of the fluid delivery, where the fluid may be administered in a fluid delivery period, the fluid delivery may then be stopped in a subsequent fluid stoppage period, followed by other fluid delivery periods.

  • Publication number: 20220347452
Abstract: A method of fluid delivery into a person's skin includes receiving a fluid delivery time indicating the amount of time required for a delivery of the fluid through a microneedle array of the intradermal fluid delivery device into the person's skin. The processor repeatedly turns the air pump on or off, for the fluid to gradually be injected into the person's skin. The method controls the total fluid delivery time and/or the granularity of the fluid delivery. The total fluid delivery time may be set to T, and the time period T may be divided into smaller periods t1 to tn, where the fluid may be administered in a period t1, the fluid delivery may then be stopped for a period t2, followed by another fluid delivery period, etc. The periods t1 to tn may be the same or of different lengths.

  • Publication number: 20220346680
Abstract: A test cartridge includes an adjustable lancet. The adjustable lancet is controlled by a controller. The adjustable lancet automatically detects a subject's finger, adjusts the lancet's height, pricks the finger to draw blood, moves a tube to collect the blood, moves the tube away from the finger, and empties the blood from the tube into a vial or receptacle. The adjustable lancet may include safety features to prevent the lancet to trigger when the subject's fingernail is facing the lancet, to control the amount that the lancet pierces the subject's finger, and/or to prevent the reuse of a test cartridge for multiple persons or multiple times by the same person. The adjustable lancet may include a massager wheel and/or a pressure bar to rub the subject's finger after the finger is pierced to facilitate drawing of the blood from the finger.

  • Publication number: 20220347554
Abstract: A method of gradually revealing an image using cube puzzles is provided. A first image is divided into a plurality of blocks. Each block can have one or more arbitrary colors. A second image is then generated from the first image where each block of the second image corresponds to one or more blocks of the first image. The blocks of the second image are unicolor blocks with colors that are selected from one of the six colors of a cube puzzle. Groups of adjacent blocks of the second image with the same number of rows and columns as the sides of the cube puzzles are assigned to participants to match to the color of the blocks on the sides of their cube puzzles. Once each participant matches the colors of an assigned region on a side of the corresponding cube puzzle, the matched region is reveled to all participants.

  • Patent number: 11483758
Abstract: A communication system includes a central cloud server that causes each of a plurality of edge devices to initiate a discovery process. The central cloud server obtains a plurality of sensed parameters from each edge device based on the discovery process, where the plurality of sensed parameters are associated with donor antenna array and one or more relay antenna arrays of each edge device. The central cloud server determines a plurality of path setup parameters specific for each edge device. The plurality of path setup parameters determined specifically for each edge device are communicated to each corresponding edge device. The central cloud server causes the plurality of edge devices to form a mesh network such that a spatial coverage of a first radio access network node is increased to serve one or more remote user equipment via the mesh network with a throughput rate greater than a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20220229009
Abstract: A lateral flow assay device comprising a conjugate pad for receiving a quantity of fluid, and a membrane comprising a test line for determining whether the fluid comprises a target analyte. The device includes an actuator connected to a moving element comprising a shaft or a wheel. A first magnet is connected to the backing of the membrane. Second and third magnets are connected to the moving element. The actuator moves the moving element between first and second positions. In the first position, the opposite poles of the first and second magnets attract each other and maintain a gap between the membrane and the conjugate pad separate. In the second position, the similar poles of the first and third magnets repel each other and close the gap between membrane and the conjugate pad, allowing the fluid to flow from the conjugate pad into the membrane and the test line.
