  • Patent number: 10715597
Abstract: Network-agnostic SDN-based cloud gateways are adapted for connecting a customer's SD cloud gateway to multiple cloud service providers (CSPs). A dynamic, on-demand, software defined, policy based cloud connectivity gateway is created for all kinds of networks and end points that can be used to connect to multiple CSPs at the same time from a single user interface. Network capacity on both the customer gateway and CSP connection points are adjusted through a user interface based on predefined policies such as automatic increasing of network connections based on actual cloud usage, limiting network capacity on a certain link based on time, application, and other conditions, and distributing traffic and changing the routing based on predetermined policies such as time of day, utilization, and performance.

  • Publication number: 20200221177
Abstract: A method includes receiving, at a media device, overlay data associated with media content. The overlay data includes information indicating a time and a position at which a particular object is represented within the media content, and the overlay data includes information associating the particular object with supplemental information. The method further includes, during playback of the media content, receiving user input at the media device, and, responsive to the user input, generating an overlay display based on the overlay data, where the overlay display causes the particular object to be highlighted in a display of the media content.

  • Patent number: 10577850
Abstract: Methods, systems, and products monitor environmental conditions in an enclosed environment, such as a garage or storage shed. If a dangerous environmental condition is determined, such as elevated carbon monoxide, an entry door may be opened. If further remedial measures are required, ignition of an internal combustion engine may be prohibited.

  • Patent number: 10515473
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, embodiments for generating an embedded object definitions (EOD) file for an image of a video file. The EOD file can include information about object markings of the video image. Further embodiments include identifying an object within the original video and determining a plurality of pixels associated with the object. A position, a color, a contrast and a brightness are associated with each of the plurality of pixels. Additional embodiments include adjusting color, contrast, and brightness of each of the plurality of pixels resulting in adjusted pixels of each of the plurality of pixels. Also, embodiments can include overlaying the marked image with the adjusted pixels of each of the plurality of pixels during a presentation of the video file. The marked image presents the object as marked on a display to a user, resulting in a marked object. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10225726
Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for generating and analyzing mobility vectors to determine subscriber behavior. A processor can execute an analysis engine. The analysis engine can obtain a log from a data collection device associated with a cellular network. The log can include subscriber data, cell identifier data, and time data. The analysis engine can identify a subscriber represented by the subscriber data and determine a vector associated with the subscriber. The vector can represent a movement of the subscriber within the cellular network. The analysis engine can store vector data that corresponds to the vector determined.

  • Patent number: 9906918
Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for determining the indoor location of devices such as smartphones and tablet computers using reference points and sensors. According to one aspect disclosed herein, an environment analytics system can retrieve a layout of an environment and determines an absolute reference point for the layout. The environment analytics system also can determine a coordinate pair for a point associated with an area of the layout. The coordinate pair can be determined relative to the absolute reference point. The environment analytics system also can determine a coordinate pair for a beacon deployed within the area. The coordinate pair can be associated with a unique address of the beacon. The environment analytics system can update beacon data in an environment database to include the coordinate pair for the beacon and the unique address of the beacon.

  • Publication number: 20160335617
Abstract: A method for facilitating purchases from a point of sale device using a biometric identifier includes receiving a biometric identifier and a point of sale (POS) identifier from a point of sale device. A user is identified based on the biometric identifier. It is then determined whether the user is authorized to request a purchase at the point of sale identified by the point of sale identifier. A purchase request authorization and user preferences of the user are transmitted to the point of sale device in response to determining that the user is authorized to request a purchase at the point of sale device.

  • Publication number: 20160328717
Abstract: A method for facilitating a purchase using a biometric identifier includes receiving a biometric identifier and transaction information from a point of sale device. A user is then identified using the biometric identifier. It is then determined whether the user is authorized to complete a transaction identified by the transaction information. A payment request is transmitted to a financial institution server associated with the user in response to determining that the user is authorized to complete the transaction. An approval is transmitted to the point of sale device in response to receiving a payment request approval from the financial institution server. A customer copy of an electronic receipt is transmitted to a user device designated by the user and a merchant copy of the electronic receipt is transmitted to a merchant device designated by the merchant in order to provide both parties with a record of the transaction.
