  • Patent number: 8281145
Abstract: The present invention introduces encrypted identifiers to be used when the owner of an identifier wants to hide the original identifier away from public exposure but still be able to be uniquely identified through the encrypted form of the identifier. The encrypted proxy identifiers are generated using a Rule Number that references a user-specific algorithm and encryption key that is different for every user. One or more identity-owner-specific passwords are also utilized.

  • Publication number: 20120246075
Abstract: This invention presents methods for secure electronic funds transfer and using electronic credit cards and debit cards in conducting purchases and making payments on the internet, over the phone, and when customer is not present. Methods described provide for generating instances of encrypted pay identifiers or pay identifier records, both of which are payer and receiver specific. Said pay identifiers are used in place of credit cards, debit cards, check numbers, and bank accounts, and as generated, are unique per transaction. Said pay identifiers if copied illegally cannot be used in a different transaction, therefore it discourages identity theft. Presented methods are perfect for use in hand held devices and in local, remote, and near field communication (NFC) payment applications.

  • Patent number: 8069256
Abstract: Personal identity-identifiers such as social security numbers, finger prints, and biometric identifiers are fixed for life; once disclosed they cannot reliably be used to authenticate the identity of a person claiming to own the identity-identifier(s). This limitation is overcome by introduction of one or more identity-passwords that are related, attached, or commingled together through a preset “rule”. Authentication methodologies claimed by this invention use a three-way-cross-authentication among three entities; a person to be authenticated, an entity requesting the authentication, and a trustee that issues, keeps, and verifies identity-data. Such methodologies can trace back the entitlement of one or more identity-identifiers to its correct owner through a three-way-cross-match of its identity-passwords. Specific methods are described to authenticate one's social security number, credit card number, door pass, computer software licenses, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20090158030
Abstract: This invention introduces encrypted identifiers to be used when the owner of an identifier wants to hide the original identifier away from public exposure but still be able to be uniquely identified through the encrypted form of the identifier. The logical requirement for such an encrypted identity is that it needs to be different for each user in order for it not to become public knowledge. The inventor refers to such changeable, proxy identifiers as “Pxy” identifiers. Pxy identifiers are generated using a Rule Number that references a user-specific algorithm and encryption key that is different for every user. To further privatize and facilitate tracing the ownership of a Pxy identifier to its owner, one or more identity-owner-specific passwords are also utilized. Pxy identity-identifiers examples include: PxySsn, PxyId, PxyEIN; and non-identity-identifier examples are: user-specific-encrypted-door-opener-codes, coded charge numbers, Pxy Software Keys, and so on.

  • Publication number: 20080159530
Abstract: The invention introduces a stand-alone small electronic device that provides the means for computer users to encrypt and keep their everyday confidential account login information in an indexed notebook or stored in a removable memory module for easy reference. Such account information includes User-Names, passwords, secret questions, and secret answers to those questions. This eliminates the risk of confidential account information exposure, should the storage media gets lost, stolen, or misplaced. Account login information are entered as separate character-strings into the device and are encrypted by using software that makes use of a “Master Password” phrase/character-string as an “Encryption-Decryption-Key”. The Master Password is a phrase or a combination of words, characters, and numbers a user can easily remember. Unlike a personal computer that is attached to networks, the stand-alone device is not connected to a network or the internet in a way to jeopardize user account information confidentiality.

  • Publication number: 20080126512
Abstract: The invention provides the means for allocating channel numbers to web site addresses (URLs) that offer movies and presentations through web-sites on the internet for viewers of such programs to be able to change program material by changing channels, just as they would on TV. A computer is embedded or connected to a video, projection, and/or large screen. A simple data-base is defined on the connected computer with a channel-number-key-field that relates channel-numbers to URLs of interest. The channel-number-key-field is pointed to a RAM address that receives a channel-number from a remote controller. Once a channel-number is selected, the data-base retrieves the URL of interest into a location in the computer memory that in turn shares a pointer address with the variable in browser software that is also running in the computer. The browser displays the selected web-site, once it receives the passed-on URL with an appended ASCII-13 character.

  • Patent number: 7100821
Abstract: A system and method to improve on the security of credit cards when money needs to be charged or transferred by assigning a different charge number to every transaction. A charge number is a combination of the card number and a random number that is generated through a user initiated preauthorization phase. A temporary preauthorization number is issued for a maximum amount to be charged to a specific merchant. Preauthorization output is passed on to the merchant for verification and deposit purposes. A specially designed cellular phone or PDA can be used in lieu of a charge card, in which case the generated preauthorization number can either be stored in a removable memory, or be directly sent to the merchant's charge machine. The card/charge-device does not contain all of the information required for a successful transaction, therefore security is maintained despite its loss or theft of numbers.
