    Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for sharing activity data through activity beacons. The system first receives a signal to enable a service for sharing activity data between the first device and a second device during a communication session between the first device and the second device, wherein the communication session is maintained via a first application. The system then tracks an activity associated with at least one of the first device or a second software application at the first device to yield activity data. Next, the system transmits an activity beacon from the first device to the second device, the activity beacon including the activity data and a second signal for triggering a presentation of a representation of the activity at the second device within the first application.

In some implementations, a transient user profile is generated from a master user profile that includes user information. The master user profile can include information provided by the user or retrieved from other network-based computer systems. The master user profile can include information that is labeled with security tags that indicate the class of users that may receive the user information. From the master user profile, a transient user profile can be generated in response to a sharing event and broadcast to other nearby recipient devices.

    Abstract: Methods and arrangements are provided for the generation and assembly of content pods for playback within an online streaming media service. A content pod is assembled to contain personal content that is relevant to an end user. In some embodiments, personal content can consist of traffic updates, voicemail messages, text messages, social media updates, and personal status updates. A content delivery system determines what personal content is available on the user device through connecting to available information sources. The delivery system then assembles the content pod from these elements in addition to invitational content from content providers. In some embodiments, a bumper message is included in the content pod to provide a context for the elements that are being assembled in combination with each other. Once the content pod is generated, it is sent to the user device to be played during content breaks within the online streaming playback.

The sharing user can transmit a share request to share the media station with receiving users. In some embodiments, the shared media station can be tailored or customized for the receiving user. For example, the shared media station can be tailored based on user preference data for the receiving user. To customize the shared media station, a new version of the shared media station can be generated based on one or more media station seeds that define the media station, as well as the user preference data. The newly generated version of the media station can then be provided to the receiving user.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is related to managing delivery of items of invitational content based on a feature-based model. Specifically, a content delivery system is provided for managing a campaign using a content bundle identifying different content blocks and rules for assembling the content blocks into the items of invitational content. The feature-based model then accrues costs based on content blocks delivered, content blocks accessed, a degree of user interaction with the accessed content blocks, or any combinations thereof. The relative performance of the items can be evaluated by obtaining a ranking based at least on the number of content blocks and a performance of these content blocks. The ranking can then be used to manage future assembly and delivery of items. In some configurations, rules can be provided to specify when particular content items can be included as costs vary.
