  • Publication number: 20210128279
Abstract: A drill-less dental implant to be implanted in a jaw bone comprises a screw thread comprising a core having a surface and a sharp tip and a spiral protrusion extending from the surface, wherein when the screw thread is rotationally screwed into the jaw bone, the sharp tip linearly penetrates the jaw bone, and a prosthesis support is attached to an upper edge of the screw thread and configured to support a dental prosthesis. A method of implanting the drill-less dental implant without drilling prior to the implantation is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20150104755
Abstract: A winged implant for implantation within osseous tissue or bone, comprising an implant body having a first external threading, and a second external threading parallel to the first external threading; a first wing member projecting radially outwardly of said implant body, as a smooth continuation of said first external threading; a second wing member projecting radially outwardly of said implant body, as a smooth continuation of said second external threading, wherein said first wing member and said second wing member extend annularly around said implant body.

  • Patent number: 8827702
Abstract: A driver assembly for driving a dental implant into an implantation site comprises a driver assembly and an abutment assembly. The lower portion of the driver assembly accommodates the upper portion of the abutment assembly in a rotation-preventing manner so as to prevent relative rotation between the driver assembly and the abutment assembly. In addition, the driver assembly includes a weakened section which permits the upper portion thereof to be separated from the lower portion and discarded while the lower portion remains mounted upon the abutment assembly.

  • Publication number: 20120329010
Abstract: A winged implant is provided with at least one wing member extending generally radially outwardly away from the implant body adjacent a distal end thereof. The external periphery of the implant body is provided with external threads for cutting into, and embedding the implant body within, a substrate, and the diametrical extent of the wing member is substantially larger than the diametrical extents of the implant body and the external threads so as to provide enhanced stabilization for the implant body when implanted within the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20120046697
Abstract: An anchoring element for use in bone has an apical end and a distal end. The apical end may be embedded in bone while the distal end may be left exposed. An abutment surface is disposed toward the distal end. The anchoring element may include first, second, third and fourth surfaces that define the apical end. The fourth surface may be disposed between an apical end and a distal end of the first surface, may joined to the third surface along an outer circumference of the fourth surface and may be employed to shave, cut or route an upstanding core remaining in the bone.
