Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for personalizing foreign language instruction. In particular, the systems and methods provided apply artificial intelligence to novel tasks related to teaching foreign languages such as detecting skill levels of users, generating personalized course curriculums for individual users based on the learning goals and initial skill level of a user, generating custom assignment assets for those goals based on current strengths, weakness, generating content for custom questions for those assignment assets, and dynamically tracking and updating the skill level of the user during the course.

Abstract: A data provider application programming interface (API) is configured for use with a game content editing application. An asset relationship management file, which is generated with the data provider API, includes information such as relationship references and annotations and is updated by the data provider API when a digital asset is edited. The asset relationship management file is then stored in a data store. An asset relationship graph is generated, based on the asset relationship management file in the data store. The asset relationship graph includes asset graph nodes that map dependency relationships between asset files. A graph API is also described. The graph API is configured for accessing the relationship graph through a server process to expose dependency relationships and annotations to a client process, such as an application. Thus, the effect of changes to one asset on other assets can readily be evaluated.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method of installing software updates to computing devices connected to an enterprise network. More specifically, the present invention provides a system and method of installing software updates based on input received from a system administrator or similar entity. When a command to install a software update is received, the present invention obtains the requested software update from a download center and causes the software update to be transmitted to client computing devices that need the functionality provided by the software update. Then the software update is installed in accordance with the input previously obtained from the system administrator.

The system uses web technology, preferably XML-technology, to receive and store information related to back-end resources and to provide a framework by which client computer systems can manage the plurality of back-end resources in a uniform manner. The system and method associates a search components to an object type, wherein the search components may come from different resources. Consequently, in a network environment having multiple resources, search information may be shared between different resources. Additionally, searching for a known objects retrieves information, both task and otherwise, associated with all shared resources. Thus a user can perform many different tasks just by searching for and locating the proper object. Furthermore, each of the resources may include a dedicated search engine for performing searches on dedicated resources.
