  • Publication number: 20110144727
Abstract: The present invention is a portable and flexible phototherapy device that includes a light pad and a controller. The controller is preferably pre-programmed with several programs to allow the light therapy pad to be used in the comfort of the users home. The flexible phototherapy pad can be positioned over any area of a body in order to provide beneficial illumination of the body part.

  • Patent number: 7101384
Abstract: Method and system for illuminating a selected body component with light to encourage selected beneficial reactions of the body component as a result of such exposure and to provide phototherapy. Light is provided using a light delivery module having one or more components that fit around a body component, or fit within a mouth, or other body cavity, for dental or mouth interior or cavity interior therapy, or are located at a particular site (such as an acupuncture terminal) on the body, where each light delivery component can be independently controlled. The body component is exposed to light in a first wavelength range and to light within a second wavelength range, in a first time interval and in a second time interval, respectively, that are separated by a selected dark field time interval where substantially no light exposure occurs, except for ambient lighting.

  • Patent number: 6974224
Abstract: Method and system for illuminating a selected body component with light to encourage selected beneficial reactions of the body component as a result of such exposure and to provide phototherapy. Light is provided using a light delivery module having one or more components that fit around a body component (e.g., as an electronic bandaid), or fit within a mouth or other body cavity, for dental or mouth interior or cavity interior therapy, or are located at a particular site (such as an acupuncture terminal) on the body, where each light delivery component can be independently controlled and can be supplemented by one or more magnetic fields.

  • Publication number: 20050004632
Abstract: A system for illuminating selected body components of, or all of, a human body. A recliner apparatus is provided with a body support surface and a canopy that rotates over a portion of the body. A plurality of spaced apart light sources (near-uv, visible, near-ir) and/or spaced apart low frequency wave sources and/or spaced apart magnetic field sources is located on or adjacent to the body support surface and/or canopy to provide intermittent or continuous illumination of selected body components. The light sources provide two, three or more different wavelength ranges, in time intervals spaced apart by dark field time intervals. The recliner apparatus has a plurality of linear and curvilinear shapes and a shape adjustment mechanism that adjusts the recliner shape between sessions or during a session.

  • Patent number: 6524329
Abstract: Method and system for illuminating a selected body component with light to encourage selected beneficial reactions of the body component as a result of such exposure and to provide phototherapy. The body component is exposed to light in a first wavelength range, in first and second nonoverlapping time intervals, and to light within a second wavelength range, in a third time interval that overlaps at least one of the first and second time intervals. The first and second wavelength ranges may be the same, may partly overlap, or may be mutually exclusive and preferably lie within the combined visible and infrared ranges.

  • Patent number: 4528752
Abstract: A glass cutter having an upwardly inclined shank extending into a handle at one end for supporting the glass cutter with a cutter housing at the other end of the shank. A bulbous horn for cooperatively receiving the end of the index finger extends from the cutter housing at an angle to the shank for supporting and guiding the circular disk in the cutter head with the hand grip.
