  • Publication number: 20080105795
Abstract: A cable retention feature that is integrated into a front end module and formed to a desirable shape for the vehicle. The cable retention feature contains retention points that restrict the movement of the cable. The retention points are created by extensions that extend vertically from the surface of the cable retention feature which form a channel that the cable extends through. Thus, a cable is inserted between the extensions and placed into the channel. The extensions are shaped in a variety of ways, but it is preferred that the extensions on opposite sides of the channel, which also create the channel, are separated at a distance that is approximately the same as the diameter of the cable. Thus, the extensions form the retention points to restrict the movement of the cable.
