  • Patent number: 10408442
Abstract: A housing for a light fixture includes at least one wall that forms a cavity and a light source housing portion, where the at least one wall includes a thermally-conductive material, where the light source housing portion is configured to receive at least one light source. The housing can also include a wireway disposed between the cavity and the light source housing portion. The housing can further include multiple heat sink fins that extend from an outer surface of the at least one wall. The housing can also include at least one air throughway that exposes at least a portion of the wireway between the at least one wall and the light source housing portion, where the at least one air throughway allows air to pass over the portion of the wireway, where the at least one air throughway is formed independent of the heat sink fins.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 9958134
Abstract: A luminaire includes a body including a lighting compartment and a bezel rim around at least a portion of a perimeter of the body. The luminaire also includes clamping plates that extend a length of the luminaire. As the clamping plates are secured in a lighting compartment of the luminaire, they provide a clamping force to secure an LED circuit board in the lighting compartment. A base of the lighting compartment may also serve as a heatsink for the LED circuit board. A low-profile luminaire according to such features is also provided.

  • Patent number: 9958146
Abstract: A luminaire includes a body including a compartment and a bezel rim along at least two sides of the body. The luminaire also includes a light emitting diode (LED) circuit board arranged in the compartment and a power input. The LED circuit board includes a driving circuit and a light emitting circuit. The power input is configured to supply power to the driving circuit. The driving circuit is configured to convert the supplied power to a converted power and to provide the converted power to the light emitting circuit. The light emitting circuit is configured to generate light with the converted power. A luminaire including an outermost dimension of less than about two inches is also provided.
