  • Patent number: 10605263
Abstract: An internally-cooled diaphragm for an internally-cooled compressor is provided. The internally-cooled diaphragm may include an annular body configured to cool a process fluid flowing through a fluid pathway of the internally-cooled compressor. The annular body may define a return channel of the fluid pathway, and a cooling pathway in thermal communication with the fluid pathway. The return channel may be configured to at least partially diffuse and de-swirl the process fluid flowing therethrough, and the cooling pathway may be configured to receive a coolant to absorb heat from the process fluid flowing through the return channel.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 27, 2016
Date of Patent: March 31, 2020
    Assignee: DRESSER-RAND COMPANY

  • Patent number: 8186702
Abstract: The present invention is directed to apparatus, systems, and methods for distributing the weight of a trailer to a towing vehicle and controlling the sway of that trailer relative to the towing vehicle. An embodiment of the present invention includes a spring arm coupled to the towing vehicle and an attachment mechanism for selectively placing the spring arm in mechanical communication with the trailer. The attachment mechanism includes a bracket assembly reversibly attachable to the trailer; a shoe bracket reversibly attachable to the bracket assembly; and a friction pad coupled to the shoe bracket.

  • Patent number: 7654552
Abstract: A jaw for a fifth wheel hitch assembly includes a jaw body having a stepped bearing surface. A jaw assembly for a fifth wheel hitch assembly includes a jaw body, a control handle and a connecting link where the connecting link is pivotally connected to the control handle on the jaw body. A fifth wheel hitch assembly includes a base assembly for mounting to a towing vehicle, a head assembly carried on the base assembly and a jaw assembly carried on the head assembly. That jaw assembly includes a jaw body having a stepped bearing surface for engaging a king pin of a trailer.

  • Publication number: 20100011009
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring document conformance is disclosed. The method may include populating a database with data indicative of contents of a plurality of documents, the plurality of documents including a first document associated with a first supplying entity located at a first facility and a second document associated with a second supplying entity located at a second facility. The method may further include comparing data in the populated database with information indicative of a standard. The method may further include identifying, based on the comparison, repeated instances of non-conforming documents to the standard.

  • Publication number: 20080120205
Abstract: A method is disclosed that provides for automated processing of inventory discrepancies. In one embodiment, the method includes identifying an inventory discrepancy between an expected quantity of an inventory item and an actual quantity of the inventory item. The method further includes generating a discrepancy record based on the inventory discrepancy. The discrepancy record may include a plurality of data fields. In addition, the method includes evaluating one or more of the plurality of data fields and determining a priority for the discrepancy record based on the evaluation.

  • Publication number: 20050259373
Abstract: A circuit and device protects connected equipment from a broad range of unsafe conditions of over-voltage and under-voltage by disconnecting the line voltage before surge protection components, generally MOVs, are damaged from sustained surges. However, nuisance tripping of the protective circuit is avoiding by discriminating surges that are properly handled by the MOVs and components in the load or protective device. Further, the devise are protected from sustained high voltage line conditions, which would ordinarily result in repeated cycling between the on and off states as the line voltages fluctuates slightly at or about the trip threshold, as the circuit has a deliberate hysteresis such that the turn on voltage is about 10 to 20 V lower than the shut off threshold.
