  • Patent number: 11969248
Abstract: A catheter insertable into a patient for monitoring pressure having an expandable outer balloon. An expandable inner balloon is positioned within the lumen of the catheter and has having a second outer wall and forms a gas chamber to monitor pressure within the patient. In response to pressure exerted on the outer wall of the outer balloon, fluid within the outer balloon enters an opening in the wall of the catheter lumen to exert a pressure on the outer wall of the expanded inner balloon to deform the inner balloon and compress the gas within the inner balloon. A pressure sensor communicates with the gas containing chamber for measuring pressure based on compression of gas caused by deformation of the expanded inner balloon resulting from deformation of the expanded outer balloon.

  • Publication number: 20240110714
Abstract: A ventilator having a functionality to defrost a ventilator core includes a two sets of ports, one set used for coupling of the ventilator with ducting and other used for redirecting indoor air flowing along a first flowpath through the recovery core to a second flow path normally used for outdoor air. A re-circulator is removably fixed between an inlet for outdoor air and an outlet for indoor air of the set of ports not coupled to the ducting. A pair of dampers, operated by a single motor, allow the ventilator to be operated in a mode that enables redirection of the indoor air from the first flowpath to the second flowpath, simultaneously blocking inflow of the outdoor air.

  • Patent number: 10974667
Abstract: A license plate holder includes a unitary body that forms one or more channels that permit a license plate to frequently and quickly be attached to, detached from and/or reattached to the unitary body. The unitary body is attached to an equipment or vehicle. One or two posts are coupled with the license plate and are shaped for partial insertion into, or traversal through, a channel of the unitary body. A moveable retaining pin allows a post to be temporarily captured while the post is inserted into a channel of the unitary body. The retaining pin may be spring-biased to press against the inserted post, and the retaining pin may be shaped and sized to fit into a notch or depressed feature of the inserted post. The unitary body may be or comprise an extruded component, a machined component, a milled component and/or a molded component.

  • Patent number: 9924365
Abstract: A vehicle safety system and method for controlling usage of mobile devices in a vehicle is disclosed that includes determining mobile device location in the vehicle; determining vehicle movement; determining whether device is being used by the driver based on device location; and monitoring or limiting usage of the device based on whether its being used by the driver while the vehicle is moving. An electronic beacon located in the vehicle can be used in determining device location. The method can include monitoring activation and usage of device functionality; maintaining an enforcement list of functionality to be limited when used by the driver; determining if any functionality on the enforcement list is attempting to activate, and if so limiting or disabling activation of that functionality. The method can include generating a device motion/usage profile for the driver while driving, and scoring the driver based on the device motion/usage profile.

  • Patent number: 9446377
Abstract: A continuous reactor vessel for a rotary reactor having a first disk and a second disk separating three zones wherein the first disk includes a material feed opening spaced from its peripheral edge by an inlet peripheral spacing and configured to receive a material inlet tube, the second disk including an axial extension spaced from the second peripheral edge having at least one axially extending side wall and an end cap with at least one reaction zone discharge opening in the extension. The at least one opening allowing for a continuous and controlled reactor discharge rate of the associated granular product from the reaction zone into the discharge zone, the discharge opening being spaced from the second peripheral edge by an outlet peripheral spacing such that the peripheral spacings define a controlled depth of a dead bed accumulation of the associated granular product in the reaction zone.

  • Publication number: 20140251991
Abstract: A portable receptacle has first and second body portions which are actuable between open and closed conditions about a first axis. The body portions are shaped such that the receptacle has a generally hollow interior when closed. The body portions are joined at a hinge having a hinge axis, the hinge axis being obliquely angled relative to the first axis in the closed receptacle condition such that the hinge deflects relative to the first axis during opening. The receptacle may advantageously be opened by applying a deflection force to the hinge which results in the movement of an edge of the first body portion away from the second body portion. A pair of hinges may be provided. The receptacle may take the form of a case for spectacles.
