  • Patent number: 11161678
Abstract: A portable storage container includes a body and a lid. The body has a bottom and sides that define an interior storage volume. The lid is attachable to the body for closing the interior storage volume and includes a lid base, a first lid member, and a second lid member. The first lid member is hingeably attached to the lid base on a first side and the second lid member is hingeably attached on a second side. Each of the lid members includes a handle recess and an attached handle. The handle of the first lid member is positioned at least partially in the handle recess of the second lid member and the handle of the second lid member is positioned at least partially in the handle recess of the first lid member when the first lid member opened and the second lid member is closed.

  • Patent number: 5947590
Abstract: A high power image projector includes a plurality of rows of spaced-apart cooling fins on the exterior surface of its light source reflector. The cooling fins are offset relative to adjacent cooling fins, thus disrupting the thermodynamic boundary layer of cooling air flowing over the reflector surface with a shroud. Thus the high-power projector can be adequately cooled with cooling air or other gases, without the need for a liquid cooling system.

  • Patent number: 5285363
Abstract: A xenon arc lamp (10, 12) used as a high intensity light source for a liquid crystal light valve projector includes a cold mirror (16) that reflects visible reading light (18a, 18b) to the liquid crystal light valve and transmits infrared light to a heat transfer unit (20) that is arranged to remove heat from the projector. The heat transfer unit (20), positioned adjacent the back of the cold mirror, is formed by a group of wire grids (50,52,54,56) that are mutually parallel and spaced close to one another with the openings of the grids displaced so as to be out of alignment with one another from grid to grid. The grids are mounted in a housing (28,30,34) which includes a heat reflective backup plate (62) on the far side of the grids and a cooling gas is caused to flow through the housing and over the grids to remove the heat transferred to the grid from the infrared radiation.
