  • Publication number: 20170066590
Abstract: Disclosed is an environmentally resistant shipping container removable from a supporting surface, the shipping container having a longest dimension of at least 3 meters defining a longitudinal axis of the shipping container, wherein the shipping container is oriented with the longitudinal axis substantially perpendicular to the supporting surface. Also disclosed is a use of the shipping container and a method for installing the shipping container.

  • Publication number: 20080010381
Abstract: Data transfer to a remote packet-communicating device over a network is effected using a network-based cache to selectively store data. According to an example embodiment of the present invention, a network-based server facilitates selective, rule-based storage of a registered user's data in a network-based cache. The registered user's data is available via the user's data source coupled to a packet-based network (e.g., via a user's home or business computer coupled to the Internet). The server controls remote access to data stored in the cache as well as data accessible via the registered user's data source. For instance, when a request for data transfer is received from a remote packet-communicating device, the network-based server authenticates the request and, for authenticated requests, facilitates a transfer of the requested data from one or both of a registered user's data source and the cache.

  • Publication number: 20070259174
Abstract: A film which may be a tape with a glue or a film with electrostatic cling properties and which is transparent, translucent, or opaque has an identifying indicia thereon in a pattern arranged such that the leading edge of the tape or film whether on the roll or separated from the roll in sections and used to wrap an item such as electrical tape for use in an electrical conductor splice is readily identified by misregistration of overlapping indicia at the leading edge with the next adjacent juxtaposed layer. Spliced conductors can also have their polarity identified by the color of the indicia.

  • Publication number: 20060167985
Abstract: Data transfer over an network is effected in a manner that facilitates the use of available communications channels and makes possible enhanced data routing control and monitoring. According to an example embodiment of the present invention, data is transferred over a network having a plurality of communication links. A home (e.g., data source) node coupled to the network supplies data for transfer on the network. A network-distributed application routing controller is implemented at a host server and at the home node, and is configured for controlling the home node for passing data on the network. A data request from a remote network access appliance, such as a laptop or mobile telephone, is received at the host server. In response to the request, the host server implements the network-distributed application routing controller to transfer data from a home node to the remote network access appliance.

  • Publication number: 20060112188
Abstract: Data transfer between remote and base locations over a network is effected. According to an example embodiment of the present invention, a data router controls the routing of data between base and remote network appliances as a function of metadata describing the data and capabilities of the remote network appliance.

  • Publication number: 20060004861
Abstract: The present invention allows a user make filter, zoom, and roll up selections and apply those selections to a desired price modeling data set. As such the present invention provides a system configured to suitably display price modeling data having a data selection module for selecting at least one subset of the price modeling data, a data aggregation module for aggregating at least one subset of the price modeling data, and a display module configured to display at least one of the at least one selected subset and the at least one aggregated subset of the price modeling data.

  • Patent number: 6000000
Abstract: Many users of handheld computer systems maintain databases on the handheld computer systems. To share the information, it is desirable to have a simple method of sharing the information with personal computer systems. An easy to use extendible file synchronization system is introduced for sharing information between a handheld computer system and a personal computer system. The synchronization system is activated by a single button press. The synchronization system proceeds to synchronize data for several different applications that run on the handheld computer system and the personal computer system. If the user gets a new application for the handheld computer system and the personal computer system, then a new library of code is added for synchronizing the databases associate with the new application. The synchronization system automatically recognizes the new library of code and uses it during the next synchronization.
