  • Publication number: 20240158891
Abstract: A hot dip method of forming an Al—Zn—Si—Mg alloy coating on a strip is disclosed. The method includes controlling the conditions in the molten bath to minimise the top dross layer in the molten bath. In particular, the method includes controlling top dross formation by including Ca and/or Sr in the coating alloy in the bath.

  • Patent number: 5979037
Abstract: A mounting assembly and method for locating and assembling parts with a tight press fit uses an intentional design interference between two mating parts. Because of the interference fit, material is "crushed" or compressed when one mating part, such as a button frame, is forced upon the other mating part, such as a cabinet, and a tight fit is created. The interference fit is provided between first and second bosses and first and second mating holes, respectively, on opposite sides of each of the first and second bosses along a respective first axis, but not along a second axis that extends between the first and second bosses. Thus, a greater design tolerance is permitted in a direction between the first and second bosses and between the first and second mating holes, respectively. A third assembly part, such as a light guide, can be sandwiched between the first and second mating parts.

  • Patent number: 5884947
Abstract: A control panel door that is pivotally connected to the beznet of a television receiver. The beznet has a pair of radial protrusions which cooperate with a single radial protrusion of the door to secure the control panel door in a closed position. The door is provided with enough lateral movement to allow the single door protrusion to slide past the beznet protrusions when the door is rotated to an open position. The door protrusion and the beznet protrusions also align the control panel door with the beznet when the door is rotated into the closed position.

  • Patent number: 5739469
Abstract: A wire harness for a holding a plurality of wires in a cabinet having a front section and a rear section is disclosed, wherein the front section includes a first inner wall and the rear section includes a second inner wall. The harness includes a first vertical flange extending downward from the first inner wall, wherein the flange includes a slit extending through a first end of the flange and terminating before a second end of the flange to form upper and lower rib elements. Further, the slit forms an opening in the first end for receiving the wires into the slit. The harness further includes a shoulder element having a second vertical flange and a horizontal flange, wherein the second vertical flange extends downward from the second inner wall and is separated from the first vertical flange by an offset distance.

  • Patent number: 5737039
Abstract: A control panel is disclosed for a monitor having a cabinet. The control panel includes a cover having a top flange and a front flange, wherein the top flange includes a plurality of apertures and first resilient clips and the front flange includes a plurality of second resilient clips and a translucent section adapted for transmitting infrared light. The cover further includes a button module having resilient buttons and a plurality of third resilient clips, wherein each of the buttons extend through an associated aperture and are adapted to enable operation of selected functions of the monitor. In addition, the cover includes an emitter having light emitting elements for emitting infrared light, wherein the emitter is removably secured to the top cover by the third resilient clips such that the light emitting elements are positioned adjacent the translucent section.
