  • Patent number: 9840131
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a device and system designed to prevent organisms, such as bugs, from contacting a viewing surface, such as a windshield or window associated with a moving vehicle. The device contains at least a first side wall having an air intake member constructed to receive and capture air flow generated by movement of the motor vehicle. A second wall contains air distribution members and is oriented in a different direction as that of the first wall. Because the device is designed to have side walls oriented at different directions, air exiting the device travels in a different path than the path of entry. In this manner, air flow can be directed to travel across a viewing surface, thereby providing a curtain of air thereupon.
    Type: Grant
