  • Publication number: 20150172773
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided herein for recommending an object of a plurality of objects for 3D printing. These methods and systems are provided by way of identifying a set of objects presented within a video being viewed by a viewer. One object of the set of objects may be selected based on a user profile. For example, in a scene where a coffee mug and a toy figurine are presented, and the user watching the video including the scene is a child, the toy figurine might be selected because the child's user profile may reflect an affinity for toys, or because the child is too young to drink coffee. A design file describing a three-dimensional representation of the object might be retrieved, and a request may be transmitted to a printer to print the three-dimensional representation of the object.

  • Publication number: 20150165685
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided herein for delivering an appropriate design file for printing of a three-dimensional object based on a determined printer capability. The determined printer capability may be, for example, the capabilities of a printer that is operatively linked with the user equipment. The determined printer capability may also or alternatively correspond to, for example, one or more entries in a user profile. In particular, a selection of an object in a video may be received at the user equipment. A set of design files associated with that object is identified, where each design file describes a three-dimensional representation of the object. A design file from the set of design files may be selected based on the determined printer capability. A request may be transmitted to the printer to print the three-dimensional representation of the object described by the selected design file.

  • Publication number: 20150169603
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided herein for sourcing a design file for three-dimensional printing of an object presented within a video. These methods and systems are provided by receiving a selection of an object, and generating a display including at least one of (1) a first selectable option to submit a design file describing a three-dimensional representation of the object, and (2) a second selectable option to access a design file describing a three-dimensional representation of the object submitted by another user. If the first selectable option is selected, the user's design file may be transmitted to a database for storage. If the second selectable option is selected, the design file that was submitted by another user (or previously submitted by the same user) may be retrieved from the database.

  • Patent number: 5440677
Abstract: A system and method for use as an authoring system for the development of CD-ROM products containing interleaved digitized audio and graphic images and other information which may be read and displayed or played under control of a computer. The graphic images and other computer information are stored in a file on the CD-ROM such that when the CD-ROM is accessed by a user, the graphic images and other computer information are displayed and made available to the user synchronously with the playing of the audio information. Combinations of several streams of audio and graphic/computer information can be interleaved into the same file. The system enables an editor to combine various audio files in synchronization with multiple graphic images into a single file which can then be stored on a CD-ROM. Other computer information can also be interleaved with the graphics and audio to allow for control over the playback at runtime.

  • Patent number: 4862140
Abstract: The installable headlight alarm system is a device that detects when the headlights of an automobile are on when the engine is not operating, using only the electrical signals present at the automobile's headlight connector. This method of detection allows the system to be easily installed on any automobile, by attaching it to the connectors of the automobile's headlights.
