  • Patent number: 4930786
Abstract: A device for training the backswing and downswing of both right- and left-hand golfers is provided having a base member that includes a forward portion, an intermediate interface and a rearward portion. A straight line set of spaced apart vertically extending pylons is mounted on the forward portion to extend to the intermediate interface. A right-hand curved set of spaced apart vertically extending pylons is mounted on the rearward portion to extend rearwardly from the intermediate interface along an inside curved backswing path for a right-hand golfer. • Patent number: 4836294
Abstract: A putting cup hole digging machine is disclosed which comprises a main frame which has a fore and aft extent; a first mounting means for securing the main frame on a vehicle to permit the main frame to be vertically raised and lowered relative to the vehicle; and a first raise-lower means secured to the main frame for raising and lowering it relative to the vehicle. The machine also includes a subframe secured on the main frame by a second mounting means permitting pivotal movement of the subframe about a second horizontal axis and fore and aft movement of the subframe relative to the main frame; a cutter for cutting the cylindrical turf plug which is mounted on the subframe; and a third mounting means for securing the cutter on the subframe for vertical movement to raised and lowered positions relative to the subframe and for rotary movement relative to the subframe about a third axis. A second raise and lower means is provided to move the cutter between its raised and lowered positions.

  • Patent number: 4795157
Abstract: A golf club putter with an aid for putting on an inclined green includes a head presenting a longitudinally extending top surface visible to the golfer when in use with the surface having ball position striking markers spaced apart longitudinally from each other. The markers include: a first curved line identifying one ball striking location adjacent the club handle which curves inwardly toward the golfer to indicate to the golfer that the ball, when struck at the one location, will curve in the direction shown by the first curved line; and a second curved line on the top surface located adjacent the outer end of the putter head longitudinally spaced from the first curve and curving outwardly away from the golfer to identify another ball striking location to indicate to the golfer that the ball, when struck at the other ball striking location, will curve in the direction shown by the second curved line.

  • Patent number: 4752075
Abstract: A golf training band or glove made of flexible material and which can be wrapped around one hand of the golfer and held securely in place by Velcro, for example, which is secured to the two overlapping ends of the band or glove. The band or glove has a large aperture in which the thumb of the one hand of the golfer is inserted and also has a first flexible loop secured to the band or glove for snugly receiving the thumb of the player's other hand. A second flexible loop is also provided and which receives the large middle finger of the player's second hand. This training band-like glove indicates to the golfer when his grip or swing is incorrect because of the tension created on either or both of the loops by the pull of the golfer's thumb or large finger.
