  • Publication number: 20220154886
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling the temperature and pressure of a cryogenic liquid methane storage unit are provided. The disclosed systems and methods generate methane gas from a reservoir of liquid methane stored within the methane storage unit, vent the methane gas through one or more outlet valves connected to the methane storage unit, and generate electric power using the vented methane gas. The generated electric power can then be used to initiating a cooling cycle, which reduces the temperature of said reservoir of liquid methane and reduces the pressure in said methane storage unit. Micro anaerobic digesters and methane storage units may be configured in a networked environment with a central controller that monitors remote units.

  • Patent number: 10855480
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems and methods for processing packets. A system can include first computing device, a second computing device, and a first packet forwarding device. Each of the first computing device and the second computing device can be communicatively coupled to a respective port of the first packet forwarding device. Each port of the first packet forwarding device can be assigned a unique MAC address. For a first packet received from the first computing device, the first packet forwarding device can be configured to determine that a destination MAC address of the first packet matches the MAC address assigned to the port on which the first packet was received, and to forward the first packet to the second computing device, responsive to the determination. For a second packet received from the second computing device, the first packet forwarding device can be configured to forward the second packet via the port whose MAC address matches a source MAC address of the second packet.

  • Patent number: 10750989
Abstract: Systems and methods for noninvasively determining the function capacity of the kidney are provided. In the methods, first contrast agent is injected into the vasculature of a subject. The contrast agent is to be bound with functioning glomeruli of the kidney of the subject. Then, the kidney is imaged with a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system to acquire MRI images of the kidney. In the images, signal magnitudes or phases of voxels of regions bound with the contrast agent are different from signal magnitudes or phases of voxels of regions not bound with the contrast agent. Afterwards, the function capacity of the kidney is determined using the MRI images. Lastly, a report of the function capacity of the kidney is generated.

  • Patent number: 10719026
Abstract: An imaging device prints in color and monochromatically, such as black-only. It has a plurality of photoconductive drums, one each for black toner and at least one colored toner. The drums contact and rotate with an intermediate transfer member (ITM) to transfer images at a first transfer. During black-only imaging, the photoconductive drum for the black toner rotates with the ITM at process speed while the drum for the at least one colored toner rotates at less than process speed, often substantially less. The technique reduces consumption of colored toner during black-only imaging and minimizes charge build-up on the drum for the colored toner.

  • Patent number: 10684577
Abstract: An imaging device has first image transfer from photoconductive drums to an intermediate transfer member (ITM) and second image transfer from the ITM to media. Transfer rolls oppose the drums from an opposite side of the ITM and electrically ground to a frame of the imaging device by mechanical connection. The rolls may be laterally offset from the drums. The ITM has relatively low surface and volume resistivity. An imaging subassembly may include the frame, the ITM, and the transfer rolls grounded to the frame.

  • Publication number: 20200118564
Abstract: Techniques for providing a contextual voice user interface that enables a user to query a speech processing system with respect to the decisions made to answer the user's command are described. The speech processing system may store speech processing pipeline data used to process a command. At some point after the system outputs content deemed responsive to the command, a user may speak an utterance corresponding to an inquiry with respect to the processing performed to respond to the command. For example, the user may state “why did you tell me that?” In response thereto, the speech processing system may determine the stored speech processing pipeline data used to respond to the command, and may generate output audio data that describes the data and computing decisions involved in determining the content deemed responsive to the command.

  • Patent number: 10567552
Abstract: A method for expanding an answer key to verify a question and answer system is provided in the illustrative embodiments. A definition is constructed of an extended answer type. The extended answer type represents an answer type of an unrepresented answer. The unrepresented answer is unrepresented in the answer key as a valid response to a question in a set of valid responses to the question in the answer key. The extended answer type is created in the answer key according to the definition. The extended answer type is populated such that the unrepresented answer becomes as additional valid response to the question, the creating and the populating extending the answer key to form an extended answer key. The populated extended answer type in the extended answer key is used to verify that a generated answer from the Q and A system is correct.
