  • Publication number: 20190069513
Abstract: An animal temperature regulation garment includes multiple pouches with temperature control packets which allow an animal, such as a pet dog, to play or exercise comfortably in hot or cold climates. When it would otherwise be too hot for outdoor activity, the animal temperature regulation garment may be worn with cooling packs in the pouches, allowing the animal to engage in outdoor activity while reducing the likelihood of heat stroke or other heat-related illness. In the cold, the cooling packs in the temperature regulation garment may be replaced with heating packs.

  • Patent number: 7627428
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to methods for rapidly calculating the surface displacement that results from an arbitrarily shaped load on the surface of a layered substrate. Some embodiments include sparse direct calculations of surface displacement in combination with interpolation methods for estimating surface displacement at other points. Some embodiments include methods for reducing computer time required for calculating surface displacement caused by an arbitrarily shaped load on a layered surface.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 1, 2007
Date of Patent: December 1, 2009
    Assignee: The University of Akron
