  • Publication number: 20040130092
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device (60) for securing stacks of sheet-shaped materials (1) during a rotary movement around an axis of rotation (R) with a first and second clamping jaw (10, 11) that have a drive (70), whereby the first and second clamping jaws (10, 11) are mounted such that the stack of sheet-shaped materials is always aligned to half its stack thickness (D). The invention also relates to a method for handling stacks of sheet-shaped materials (1), especially within a device (1000) for binding the stack of sheet-shaped materials (1).

  • Patent number: 6427059
Abstract: Apparatus for precisely positioning the various work stations (e.g., image-forming, cleaning and image-transfer stations) of an electrophotographic printer/copier relative to the outer surface of a rotating drum, e.g., an image-forming drum or an image-transfer drum. Such apparatus comprises a pair of drum-support members, each having associated reference surface features adapted to mate with complimentary reference surface features on the individual work stations. Preferably, the placement of the reference surface features of the drum-support members are factory set to account for any idiosyncrasies (e.g., run-out) of a drum supported by such members.

  • Patent number: 5897153
Abstract: Apparatus for removing and/or returning a disk shaped object having a central hole to and from a disk holder, includes a pick-off head having movable pick-off elements adapted to grasp the disk-shaped object through its central hole, characterized in that the pick-off head includes a rotatable shaft coupled to the movable pick-off elements and provided in the central axis of the pick-off head and arranged so that when the shaft rotates the pick-off elements are reciprocated radially with respect to the central axis so that when the pick-off elements are positioned with respect to the central hole of the disk rests on at least two of the pick-off elements.

  • Patent number: 5889754
Abstract: The invention relates to a magazine having a plurality of disk drawers which are mounted in disk-holding compartments and each of which holds a single disk (CD), all of the disk drawers being lockable in and releasable from the magazine by means of a single, common disk drawer locking mechanism and the magazine being capable of insertion into a machine. In order to create a magazine of straightforward, compact and economical design having as few components and being as simple to assemble as possible, the disk drawer locking mechanism is integral with the magazine. The disk drawer locking mechanism and the magazine are constructed as a one-piece injection molded unit in plastic and the disk drawer locking mechanism has a locking catch and a release tab which are joined to the magazine or an outer panel of the magazine by means of a common, elastic fulcrum bar and which pivot conjointly around the centre axis of the fulcrum bar thereby acting against its spring action.
