  • Publication number: 20240110825
Abstract: A system includes a processor, wherein the processor is programmed to receive sound information and vibrational information from a device in a first environment, generate a training data set utilizing at least the vibrational information and a sound perception score associated with the corresponding sound of the vibrational information, wherein the training data set is fed into an un-trained machine learning model, in response to meeting a convergence threshold of the un-trained machine learning model, outputting a trained machine learning model, receive real-time vibrational information from the device in a second environment, and based on the real-time vibrational information as an input to the trained machine learning model, output a real-time sound perception score indicating characteristics associated with sound emitted from the device.

  • Publication number: 20240112019
Abstract: A system includes a processor in communication with one or more sensors. The processor is programmed to receiving, from the one or more sensors, vibrational information and sound information associated with the vibrational information from a test device, generating a training data set utilizing at least the vibrational data and the sound information associated with the vibrational data, wherein the training data set is sent to a machine learning model configured to output sound predictions, receiving real-time vibrational data from a run-time device running an actuator or electric dive emitting the real-time vibrational data, and based on the machine learning model and the real-time vibrational data, output a sound prediction indicating a purported sound emitted from the run-time device.

  • Patent number: 9851146
Abstract: A dryer section for drying a web of fibrous material is provided, which has at least one drying unit for reducing the moisture content of the web by means of convection drying. The drying unit has at least one nozzle for applying a drying fluid to the web, at least one discharge device for the moist air produced during convection drying, and transport means for moving the web relative to the drying unit. The drying unit has at least one ultrasonic generator, which is arranged, for excitating vibrations in the drying fluid, in the region of the nozzle in such a manner that the reduction of the moisture content by ultrasound can be supported over the entire width of the web.

  • Patent number: 7833573
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing thermosensitive recording material, comprising a carrier substrate and a thermal reaction layer containing a color former and a color developer. According to the invention, an application suspension, containing the starting materials of the thermal reaction layer, is applied to the carrier substrate and the carrier substrate is subsequently dried with the applied application suspension. Then the dried carrier substrate with the applied thermal reaction layer is guided through a smoothing mechanism in order to be smoothed, wherein the dried carrier substrate with the applied thermal reaction layer is pressed extensively against a roller by means of a predetermined contact pressure. The invention also relates to a recording material which is produced according to the inventive method.

  • Publication number: 20080038475
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a thermal paper comprising a carrier substrate, an intermediate pigment coat, a thermal reaction coat and optionally one or more additional intermediate coats and/or top coats, said intermediate pigment coat being formed from a pigment, binding agents and optionally an aqueous application suspension containing additional application additives, by means of a curtain coating method. Said method is characterised in that an aqueous application suspension containing calcined kaolin, with a solid content of between approximately 25 and 75 wt. %, is applied at an operating speed of at least approximately 500 nm/min in a curtain coating method and is dried. Said method is technically simple and economical to perform. In particular, the method enables the use of the curtain coating method at a higher speed of more than 750 m/min and in particular more than 1500 m/min.
