  • Publication number: 20220363945
Abstract: A liquid applied, silicone-based air and water barrier coating composition and its use as a silicone-based air and water barrier is provided. The barrier is generally vapour permeable and suitable for the construction industry. The liquid coating composition generally has a shelf-life of at least 9 months. The liquid coating composition comprises: (i) a crosslinked polysiloxane dispersion comprising (c) a surfactant and (d) water; (ii) a combination of rheology modifiers and at least one of the following ingredients: (iii) one or more fillers and/or (iv) one or more stabilizers.

  • Publication number: 20220356307
Abstract: A moisture curable composition capable of cure to an elastomeric body, the composition comprising: (i) an organopolysiloxane polymer having at least two silicon-bonded hydroxyl or hydrolysable groups per molecule and a viscosity of from 1,000 to 75,000 maPa·s at 25° C.; (ii) a siloxane and/or silane cross-linker; (iii) an organosilicate resin comprising SiO4/2 (Q) siloxane units and R23SiO1/2 (M) siloxane units wherein each R2 is selected from hydrocarbon groups, —OH and/or alkoxy containing groups and which M groups are reactive with components (i) and/or (ii); and (iv)_a condensation cure catalyst. The organosilicate resin (iii) is generally used to reinforce the composition.

  • Patent number: 7595197
Abstract: Samples of materials used in industrial processes are analyzed to determine the concentration of certain materials of interest. The quantitative analysis of samples for these materials is provided without the need for manual methods such as titration. Indicators such as fluorescent dyes for which the intensity of fluorescence is indicative of the concentration of a material of interest are used. The dyes are made to fluoresce by means of a light source, and a photomultiplier or other detector capable of measuring light intensity detects the resulting fluorescence. The intensity of fluorescence in the sample is compared to the intensities of fluorescence produced by samples with known concentrations of the material of interest to determine the concentration of the material of interest of the sample.
