  • Patent number: 10636236
Abstract: In one aspect, a universal receiver is provided for being operably coupled to a movable barrier operator. The universal receiver includes at least one radio antenna adapted to receive signals transmitted at different frequencies and a controller operably coupled to the at least one radio antenna. The controller is adapted to determine a code of a signal received by the at least one radio antenna at any one of the different frequencies. The controller being further adapted to learn the code in response to a user-independent learning condition being met.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 7, 2018
Date of Patent: April 28, 2020
    Assignee: The Chamberlain Group, Inc.
Inventors: Michael A. Burroughs, Thomas J. Grinter, Christopher J. Staub

  • Patent number: 8469317
Abstract: A control input system is provided. The system includes a pair of control columns that are selectively interconnected such that manipulation of one of the control columns is translated to the other one of the control columns. The system includes a disconnect arrangement for each of the degrees of freedom (pitch and roll) of the system that operably disconnects the two control columns such that the two control columns can operate independently such as in the event of failure of one of the control columns. The system may also include a discontinuous force profile for a restoring force mechanism that provides tactile feedback to the pilots simulating resistance provided by control surfaces of the aircraft. The system may also include an autopilot lockout mechanism that increases the force profile experienced by the pilots when autopilot mode is entered.

  • Publication number: 20100250370
Abstract: A method and system for improving targeting of advertisements allows guides to provide opinion information regarding advertisements responsive to targeting information associated with the advertisements. An advertiser selects a category, keyword and/or profile associated with an advertisement which may be used to select a guide who may express an opinion. • Publication number: 20100138402
Abstract: A method and system for improving utilization of human searcher(s) in a search system including utilizing a processing such as Natural Language Processing to improve the ability of the search system to recognize an intent of a user request, provide information to an expeditor to respond to queries, and automatically route a query to a relevant and qualified searcher. Using NLP, a request is processed to allow improved use of automated responses, more effective use of the expeditor, and more effective use of search specialists.
