  • Patent number: 10593134
Abstract: A system for acceptance testing includes a data acquisition system operable to receive a plurality of sensor inputs from a component under test. The system also includes a health and usage monitoring system (HUMS) interface operable to receive data from a HUMS coupled to the sensor inputs. The system further includes a data processing system operable to determine a plurality of condition indicators based on the sensor inputs acquired by the data acquisition system, receive a plurality of HUMS data from the HUMS interface based on the sensor inputs, compare the condition indicators to the HUMS data, and output a test result based on results of the comparison.

  • Patent number: 4758040
Abstract: An exterior visor (20') for automotive vehicles (21) formed of two or more symmetrical visor sections (20a, 20b) adapted to be abutted in end-to-end relation to form an exterior visor (20') having an overall length "L" in the range of from about 55" to about 70", or more, wherein each visor section (20a, 20b) is provided with an integral, downwardly projecting, fore/aft vertical flange (32,34) adapted to be sandwiched between complementally shaped reinforcing plates (35, 36) and permanently secured together by rivets (38) with the thus assembled flanges (32, 34) and plates (35, 36) defining an integral reinforcing support or brace for the visor (20') and wherein, when disassembled, the visor sections (20a, 20b) may be stacked in nested relation and packaged in a box (31) having a length "L", a height "H" and a depth "D" wherein the dimensions "L", "H" and "D" are such that "L"+2 ("H"+"D") is equal to or less than 84" even where the overall length of the assembled visor (20') may be on the order of 70", or mor

  • Patent number: 4412698
Abstract: A plurality of fasteners joining a sun visor to an automobile. Each fastener fits through a related pair of matching holes in the visor and automobile body, with the hole in the visor being enlarged to permit lateral movement of the visor relative to the fastener. A washer fits over the fastener and against a flange of the fastener. In the fastening position, the flange presses against the washer which in turn presses against the visor, permitting slide movement therebetween. When there is relative movement between the visor and the automobile body due to expansion and contraction because of temperature change, the fasteners permit relative movement without creating stresses in the visor.
