  • Patent number: 11941311
Abstract: In one example, a system can receive an order from a client device. The system can also receive data about a set of print queues at a set of printers via a network. The system can then determine a set of queue times corresponding to the set of print queues. Each respective queue time can be determined based on a corresponding print queue. The system can generate an estimated wait time for the order based on the set of queue times. The system can then transmit the estimated wait time to the client device for display in a graphical user interface to a user associated with the order.

  • Publication number: 20230390031
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for selecting a tooth library for auto-designing a dental appliance. A method includes receiving, by a computer system, patient tooth data including a scan of the patient's teeth, identifying markers on the teeth in the patient tooth data, such as opposing tooth edges, determining teeth measurements based on the markers, such as determining a width between the opposing tooth edges, and selecting, from a static tooth library data store, a subset of tooth libraries based on the teeth measurements and based on: identifying at least one tooth library having respective tooth width measurements within a threshold range of the determined width of the tooth in the patient tooth data, and adding the identified at least one tooth library to the subset of tooth libraries. The method also includes selecting a candidate tooth library from the subset based on the candidate tooth library satisfying dental-appliance-fit criteria.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for performing an auto-setup of a digital denture model. A method includes accessing, by a computer system, a digital denture model for a patient including upper and lower teeth, defining an arch form for the lower teeth, defining an occlusal plane relative to the arch form, identifying datums for each tooth in the digital denture model, leveling each tooth in the digital denture model based on the respective datums being positioned relative to the occlusal plane, and snapping each tooth in the digital denture model to the arch form. Until a threshold level of movement is achieved between each tooth and at least one of (i) an adjacent tooth and (ii) a tooth in vertical contact, the method includes iteratively: adjusting positioning of the tooth in the digital denture model to resolve interproximal (IP) contacts, and adjusting vertical positioning of the tooth.

  • Publication number: 20230355361
Abstract: A method for generating a digital denture model can include receiving scans of dentures generated by a CT scan. The scans can include a bite scan showing the positioning of an upper and lower denture in a patient bite orientation. The bite scan can be used to position upper and lower denture scans in the patient bite orientation and a denture model can be generated from the upper and lower scans in the patient bite orientation. Irregularities in the denture model, such as voids and metallic inclusions, can be corrected to provide a smooth model surface. Color images of the dentures can be correlated with the denture model to provide a colored denture model. During the CT scan, prompts can be generated for displaying quality analysis information during scanning, recommendations for adjustments to equipment or orientation of the dentures, and steps for performing the scan.

  • Patent number: 9308056
Abstract: A technique for fabricating a surgical splint for use in correcting a dental condition of a patient. The technique involves obtaining a three-dimensional digital model of lower and upper arch dentitions of the patient having the dental condition. Relative positions of the lower and upper arch dentitions are adjusted with respect to each other in the three-dimensional digital model using a computing device. A relative positioning structure is added to the three-dimensional digital model using the computing device. A physical model of the patient's corrected dentition is then generated from the three-dimensional digital model. The physical model includes the relative positioning structure that connects the lower and upper arch dentitions of the physical model at the adjusted relative position. The surgical splint is then formed using the physical model. A non-surgical splint is also described.

  • Patent number: 9144472
Abstract: A system and method for evaluating dental treatment utilizes virtual models created from scanned plaster casts. Patient's teeth are directly scanned with a three dimensional scanner or plaster casts of the patient teeth following treatment are scanned for evaluation. A planned configuration based on a plaster cast prior to treatment is created and the desired position and the two models are compared so that the actual position of the teeth may be compared to the desired position after treatment. Superimposition of the virtual models provides accurate and precise measurement of variances between the two virtual models. Difficulties due to superimposing the models, which are of the entire arch and evaluations based on individual teeth are overcome by applying an iterative closest point algorithm to correct the position and provide a truer measurement for evaluation.

  • Patent number: 9017071
Abstract: An electronic 3D model of at least a portion of a maxillary arch of a patient is displayed. Inputs indicating a peak of a mesiobuccal cusp of a maxillary first molar are received for both the patient's right and left sides. In addition, an electronic 3D model of at least a portion of a mandibular arch of a patient is displayed. Inputs indicating relevant points on the mandibular first molar are received for both the patient's right and left sides. Side scores are generated for the patient's right and left sides based on the indicated points. A final occlusion score for the patient is displayed. The final occlusion score is based on the side score for the right side and the side score for the left side.
