  • Patent number: 11957893
Abstract: A neuromodulation therapy is delivered via at least one electrode implanted subcutaneously and superficially to a fascia layer superficial to a nerve of a patient. In one example, an implantable medical device is deployed along a superficial surface of a deep fascia tissue layer superficial to a nerve of a patient. Electrical stimulation energy is delivered to the nerve through the deep fascia tissue layer via implantable medical device electrodes.

  • Patent number: 7551720
Abstract: An x-ray system comprises an x-ray tube, covered by a housing, which emits x-rays therefrom, and a receiver mounted within the x-ray tube housing. An electronic sensor receives the emitted x-rays, converts the received x-rays into electrical image data signals, and transmits the electrical image data signals to the receiver. An image processing unit processes the electrical image data signals received from the receiver.

  • Patent number: 6149300
Abstract: An intraoral dental imaging system employs a service unit having a power supply and a light source, and selectively using a video camera having a plug-in module for releasably connecting the video camera to the power supply, or an x-ray camera having a second plug-in module for releasably connecting the x-ray camera to the power supply. In either case the modules have processing means for producing video output signals. These video output signals may be sent to a wide variety of devices connected to the service unit. For instance, they may be used to display an image on a video monitor, such as a CRT, they may be sent to a printer for printing, and they may be sent to a modem for eventual display at another location. In essence, these video output signals may be sent to any device known in the art. Thus, the plug-in modules are highly portable while allowing for interchangeability within the same service unit, thereby allowing a practitioner to use the modules in multiple operatories.

  • Patent number: 5893712
Abstract: A diagnostic assembly includes an instrument having a body portion and a distal camera head, in which a protective sheath encases the instrument body and includes a transparent window for allowing the camera head to view a target. A releasably attached handle overlays the instrument body and includes inner surfaces conforming to the instrument body to clamp the sheath in a predetermined position to prevent the sheath and the transparent window form being twisted during use.

  • Patent number: 5373317
Abstract: A control handle and viewing screen assembly combines video monitor and remote steering control for a borescope steering section. A joystick or similar device controls the steering section when an inspection mode is employed. In a second or freeze-frame mode the joystick is used to move a cursor on the screen or to carry out a computation function. Steering servo motors can be positioned distally for balance.

  • Patent number: 5323899
Abstract: A case of the type for carrying and using an instrument having an insertion tube, a control handle, and a light box having therein a fan, the case comprising a body with a removable cover, a primary cavity in the body for snugly receiving the light box therein, oriented so that controls on the light box are accessible to a user, a secondary cavity in the body for receiving a control handle attached to the insertion tube therein, and a coil of tubular material, having a low coefficient of friction, positioned within the secondary cavity, and having an open proximal end into which the insertion tube can be slidably received for storage. The case is structured to promote cooling the of light box.
