  • Publication number: 20200201795
Abstract: An input/output (I/O) level shifter for a subscriber identification module (SIM) interface includes a controller configured to apply a first enable signal to turn ON a first transmitter when the direction of packet flow is from an interface device to a SIM card, and is configured to apply a second enable signal to turn ON a second transmitter when the direction of packet flow is from the SIM card to the interface device. The controller is configured to not apply the first and the second enable signals concurrently. The controller selectively controls the ON/OFF period of the first and the second transmitter to maintain half-duplex communication on the interface I/O line and the SIM I/O line to prevent undesired positive data feedback.

  • Patent number: 10660192
Abstract: Embodiments of a laser system having an extremely large number of small pulsed lasers for irradiating small targets in inertial confinement fusion experiments, high energy density physics experiments, and inertial fusion power plants is more flexible than existing laser systems. Embodiments facilitate finer control of critical features of laser pulses for inertial fusion, as well as significant reduction in development costs and expansion of the community involved in the research relative to existing laser systems. Embodiments produce smooth intensity profiles at the target, large bandwidth that is over two orders of magnitude greater than existing laser systems, and fine control over laser wavelengths, focal properties, temporal pulse shape, and illumination geometry. Properties of each of the small pulsed lasers are individually selectable.

  • Publication number: 20190376567
Abstract: A clutch system includes a clutch plate and a reservoir coupled with the clutch plate. The reservoir is configured to receive bailed excess fluid from the clutch upon rotation of the clutch plate. The clutch system also includes a hydraulic control valve fluidly coupled with the clutch plate and the reservoir. A first fluid flow path is defined between the reservoir and the clutch plate. Moreover, the hydraulic control valve includes an orifice fluidly coupled with the reservoir and a lube valve configured to move between a closed position and an open position. Additionally, a cavity is defined in the hydraulic control valve. Finally, the movement of the lube valve between the open position and the closed position is controlled using the fluid from the reservoir which flows though the orifice and into the cavity.

  • Publication number: 20190366945
Abstract: A cargo guard kit for protecting the cargo and the bed of a pickup truck includes protective pads. Each protective pad includes a flexible friction pad and at least one shielding strip. The flexible friction pad attaches the shielding strip to the contact point on the pickup truck. Similarly, the shielding strip protects the surface of the contact point. The flexible friction pad has a contact face and a fastening face. The at least one shielding strip is mounted onto the contact face. The fastening face is positioned facing opposite to the contact face and is designed to connect to the exterior surface of the pickup truck. The at least one shielding strip is mounted into the middle of the flexible friction pad. As such, the width of the flexible friction pad is greater than the width of the at least one shielding strip. In contrast, the length of the flexible friction pad is equal to the length of the shielding strip.
