  • Publication number: 20230302275
Abstract: Presented herein is an electroporation shield configured to be removably coupled to an implantable stimulating assembly that includes one or more stimulation electrodes. The electroporation shield is coupled to stimulating assembly such that the electroporation shield electrically insulates the one or more of the stimulation electrodes from an electroporation electrical field generated by one or more electroporation electrodes coupled to the electroporation shield. The electroporation shield may be coupled to the stimulating assembly in a manner that facilitates removal of the electroporation shield and the one or more electroporation electrodes. After electroporation, without having to remove or reinsert the stimulating assembly, thereby exposing the one or more stimulation electrodes to the cells of the recipient for subsequent delivery of stimulation.

  • Patent number: 11741437
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for scheduling a task of a user based on a cyber-physical-social (CPS) context of activities. The present disclosure is directed to increasing the efficiency of performing tasks by grouping tasks with the same or similar task CPS contexts so that they are performed in conjunction with one another. A stream of user activities is received that encompasses the CPS context, tasks are identified and classified based on a CPS context model. The CPS model is trained using CPS context and annotations for identified tasks as input to create classes of tasks. The classes of tasks from the model are used to group similar tasks. The present disclosure enables users to receive recommendations on clustering tasks with the same or similar contexts based on an online tool, a location, and collaborators to be performed together to improve productivity.

  • Publication number: 20230106375
Abstract: An external portion of an auditory prosthesis includes an external magnet that interacts with an implantable magnet to hold the external portion against the skin. Magnetic force generated by the stray field of these magnets can disturb the operation of a vibrating element of the auditory prosthesis. The technologies described herein utilize additional magnets disposed within portions of the auditory prosthesis to redirect the magnetic flux, which allows the vibrating element to be disposed more closely to the magnets, reducing the overall height profile of the prosthesis.
