  • Publication number: 20120111165
Abstract: A foil cutter for use on the surface area of a carrier roller of a rotary punch has a base plate with a bottom and a top, and at least one blade arranged on the top of the base plate. The top of the base plate has at least one region bordering on the at least one blade and partially or completely surrounded by the at least one blade, in which at least one foil cutter perforation is present through which at least a part of punched flat material can be drawn by suction to be held in the region and be further transported by the carrier roller. The foil cutter has at least one elevation arranged on the top of the base plate in the at least one region bordering on the at least one blade and partially or completely surrounded by the at least one blades.

  • Publication number: 20110079129
Abstract: A film cutter arrangement for a cutter roller is provided, and punched film cutters for producing cutouts have a cutting edge. The film cutter arrangement and the punched film cutters are attached to a lateral surface of the cutter roller magnetically and/or by vacuum. The punched film cutters can be variably positioned relative to the format film cutters in axial and circumferential directions of the cutter roller by adapter elements.

  • Patent number: 7647698
Abstract: A method for producing a cutting or embossing roller having a cutting knife or embossing projection that projects out of the surface of a base body of the roller ensures the greatest possible optimal homogeneity of the cutting knife or the embossing projection, while minimizing production duration and costs. Single-layer or multi-layer application of the cutting knife or the embossing projection onto the roller base body occurs by laser resurfacing welding. Each layer is produced using an additional powdered material, which is melted in a melt bath at the weld point. The heat and/or light radiation emitted by the melt bath is detected, at least during application of each layer. Laser power is controlled or regulated as a function of the heat and/or light radiation emitted by the melt bath, so that melt bath temperature remains essentially constant during application of each layer.
