Abstract: A computer-implemented method for providing decision support for marketing of online advertising includes creating bid records using information parsed from real-time bidding (RTB) event data for a targeted ad impression. The bid records identify a plurality of advertisers defined as a brand, which include both winning and non-winning bidders. The bid records are analyzed to determine a demand from the brand for ad impressions in the publisher inventory other than the targeted ad impression. Demand analysis includes brand metrics segmentation and user-to-segment association of brand metrics, the results of which support direct sale of publisher inventory similar to the targeted ad impression to non-winning bidders.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for increasing publisher revenue for targeted online advertising includes retrieving buying data from an ad network report. Ad impression counts and bid amounts from winning bids may be used to determine a true cost per thousand impressions (CPM) value of an ad request. Price floors for the ad request may be set to equal the true CPM value either automatically or manually by the publisher. Monitoring periods for purchase data reporting from participating ad networks may provide true CPM values in real-time.

Abstract: The claimed subject matter relates to an architecture that can facilitate verification or feedback in association with consumer transactions. In particular the architecture can image a transaction receipt, translate the image into text-based data, and extract relevant transaction data there from. Such relevant transaction data can be saved to a data store maintained or supervised by the customer and/or transmitted to authorized components that can benefit from data related to transaction histories, verification, and/or feedback.

Abstract: The claimed subject matter relates to an architecture or extension to an operating system (or component thereof) that can facilitate extensible themes for or advertising integration with a desktop that is managed by the operating system. In particular, the architecture can acquire advertisement content such as ads or advertiser skins, select suitable content for display, and configure the operating system to display the selected content. The architecture also provides mechanisms for identifying suitable locations as well as appropriate time for displaying the content.

Abstract: A method for exchanging information between two communication devices includes communicating first identity information from a first communication device to a second communication device over a short-range communication link in response to an event. A second identity is received from the second communication device over the short-range communication link. Abstract: The claimed subject matter provides a system and/or a method that facilitates preserving and maintaining data and/or services associated with a network service. The network service can be any collection of resources that are maintained by a party (e.g., third-party, off-site, etc.) and accessible by an identified user over a network (e.g., WAN, Internet, etc.). An interface component can receive a termination notification related to the network service. An executor component can relocate at least a portion of one of data and a service associated with the terminated network service to a disparate replacement network service in order to preserve any services and/or data related therewith.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods and devices for detecting a target nucleic acid molecule. A set of oligonucleotide probes integrated into an electric circuit, where the oligonucleotide probes are positioned such that they cannot come into contact with one another, are contacted with a sample. If the sample contains a target nucleic acid molecule, one which has sequences complimentary to both probes, the target nucleic acid molecule can bridge the gap between the probes. The resulting bridge can then carry electrical current between the two probes, indicating the presence of the target nucleic acid molecule.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-storage media are provided for employing environment and resource data to facilitate management of shopper traffic and resource allocation. Shopper traffic information is received from environmental sensors located in or nearby a business establishment. Resource information associated with the business establishment is also received. A traffic modifier is determined based on the shopper traffic information and the resource information; the traffic modifier is used to influence the behavior of shoppers with respect to the business establishment. As well, a resource modifier for the business establishment is also determined based on a projected result of dissemination of the traffic modifier.

In another aspect, the architecture can access information associated with a third party to build a wish list for a user.
