Each handle assembly has a bracket having a pair of spaced abutments to engage the under side of the drum chine, a handle means pivotally mounted on the bracket to extend into the cover groove to secure the handle assembly to the drum and cover and a bracket strap to prevent rotation of the handle assembly about the drum chine during the lifting of the drum.
