  • Publication number: 20210324672
Abstract: In one aspect, a pet access apparatus including an actuator and a pet door movable between a closed position and an open position. The pet access apparatus includes communication circuitry to receive a signal indicative of proximity of a pet to the pet door. The pet access apparatus includes an interior camera, an exterior camera, and a processor operably coupled to the actuator, the communication circuitry, the interior camera, and the exterior camera. The processor is configured to determine an attempt by the pet to operate the pet door based at least in part on the proximity of the pet to the pet door, the interior image data, and the exterior image data. The processor is further configured to facilitate movement of the pet door from the closed position toward the open position upon the determination of the attempt by the pet to operate the pet door.

  • Publication number: 20170124878
Abstract: A collision warning device including a receiver for receiving a low power radio frequency signal from a nearby radio frequency signal source. A processor can be electrically coupled to the receiver and configured to analyze the radio frequency signal for determining whether the signal is from a source capable of colliding with the device. The processor can be configured to provide a warning signal when it determines a potential of a collision. A method, a low power radio frequency signal source and a system are provided.

  • Publication number: 20120021764
Abstract: A MANET Signals of Opportunity (SoOP) network providing positioning information to mobile users cooperatively. Mobile nodes access SoOP/GNSS to determine location and share navigation and communication information with other users to extend coverage to adjacent nodes. The system also allows disadvantaged users to determine positioning based upon beacon information transmitted without access to GNSS signals.

  • Patent number: 6661652
Abstract: A disk system includes a disk cage having a spring and an interior wall that forms a disk drive chamber. The disk system also includes a disk drive removably coupled within the disk drive chamber. The spring in the disk cage preferably is coupled with the interior wall and extends into the disk drive chamber to form a receiving chamber. The spring contacts the disk drive to dampen disk drive vibration.

  • Publication number: 20030202576
Abstract: One or more embodiments of the invention provide a method, apparatus, system, and/or article of manufacture for multiplexing and displaying a video stream in real-time. An original video stream and replacement video stream are received in real-time. Both video streams comprise encoded data that consist of one or more anchor frames (i.e., a frame that is not dependent on any other frame), and one or more predicted frames (i.e., a frame that is a computed difference between two video frames). One or more successive frames of the original video stream are output in real-time. A point in the original video stream where the replacement video stream is to be inserted is determined. Output is switched in real-time, to the replacement video stream when the point to insert has arrived. Thereafter, the output is returned in real-time, to the original video stream when the replacement video stream is complete.

  • Patent number: 4046931
Abstract: A coating material such as a high viscosity, low solvent content paint is applied to metal strip by means of a coater which comprises a soft-covered take-up roll which draws coating material from a reservoir and coacts with a hard metering roll (from which excess coating material is continuously removed by a doctor blade), to form a metered film on the surface of the take-up roll. The metered film is transferred to a small diameter hard transfer roll from which it is in turn transferred to a soft covered applicator roll, by which it is applied to the strip. At each line of contact between two rolls or between the applicator roll and the strip the mutually contacting surfaces travel in opposite directions (i.e., the rolls all rotate in the same sense). Preferably the peripheral speed of the applicator roll is greater than that of the transfer roll, which is greater than that of the take-up roll, but the strip speed is preferably lower than that of the applicator roll.
