  • Publication number: 20240164071
Abstract: An assembly for two (or more) DC/DC converters located in a common enclosure, where the DC/DC converters share a heat sink assembly, such as a shared dual-sided heat sink assembly. The techniques efficiently package the components of the DC/DC converters within a common enclosure and simplify the cooling lines routed to those components.

  • Patent number: 11977230
Abstract: A wearable display system includes one or more emissive micro-displays, e.g., micro-LED displays. The micro-displays may be monochrome micro-displays or full-color micro-displays. The micro-displays may include arrays of light emitters. Light collimators may be utilized to narrow the angular emission profile of light emitted by the light emitters. Where a plurality of emissive micro-displays is utilized, the micro-displays may be positioned at different sides of an optical combiner, e.g., an X-cube prism which receives light rays from different micro-displays and outputs the light rays from the same face of the cube. The optical combiner directs the light to projection optics, which outputs the light to an eyepiece that relays the light to a user's eye. The eyepiece may output the light to the user's eye with different amounts of wavefront divergence, to place virtual content on different depth planes.

  • Publication number: 20240126917
Abstract: Techniques for identifying an exposed credential that, if used, would provide access to a resource are disclosed. The techniques enable the resource to remain online while (i) a new credential is allocated for the resource, (ii) the resource is transitioned to using the new credential instead of the exposed credential, and (iii) the exposed credential is attempted to be invalidated. A credential is accessed. This credential is suspected of being in an exposed state. The credential is accessible from within an artifact and is determined to be in the exposed state. A new credential is generated. This new credential is designed to replace the exposed credential. An instruction is transmitted to the resource to cause it to transition from using the exposed credential to using the new credential. The exposed credential is then invalidated.

  • Patent number: 11947510
Abstract: A distributed storage system may store data object instances in persistent storage and may store keymap information for those data object instances in a distributed hash table on multiple computing nodes. Each data object instance may include a composite key containing a user key. The keymap information for each data object instance may map the user key to a locator and the locator to the data object instance. A request to store or retrieve keymap information for a data object instance may be routed to a particular computing node based on a consistent hashing scheme in which a hash function is applied to a portion of the composite key of the data object instance. Thus, related entries may be clustered on the same computing nodes. The portion of the key to which the hash function is applied may include a pre-determined number of bits or be identified using a delimiter.

  • Patent number: 10746268
Abstract: A gear nut adjustment assembly is provided that receives and powers an adjustable jaw assembly for purposes of making or breaking a tubular connection. The adjustable jaw assembly is capable of receiving pipes of various diameters through an automated means. In one example of an implementation of the invention, the gear nut adjustment assembly of the present invention includes a housing for mounting a nut assembly at one end and a motor at the other end. The housing includes a front and rear housing where the front housing has a mounting assembly for mounting a nut assembly. The nut assembly includes at its rear end a ring gear. The rear housing further includes a drive gear positioned in between the front and rear housing in engagement with the ring gear of the nut assembly. The drive gear is driven by the motor attached to the back of the rear housing and, through engagement with the ring gear on the nut assembly, rotates the nut assembly to adjust the jaws of the adjustable jaw assembly.

  • Patent number: 10209907
Abstract: Representative embodiments disclose how to remove spilled data from an unauthorized system and/or service in a cloud service. Some embodiments allow a user to remove spilled data in a secure fashion without involving an administrator. Spilled data resides in a data structure backed by allocated storage locations. The system presents a user interface allowing a user to enter information that allows identification of the allocated storage locations. The spilled data is removed from the data structure leaving whitespace in the allocated storage locations where remnants of the spilled data can reside. The system creates a copy of the data structure, removing the whitespace. The system connects the copy of the data structure in place of the original data structure. The original allocated storage locations are then overwritten in a secure manner to remove any remnants of the spilled data.
