  • Publication number: 20240123379
Abstract: A device and system for purifying a fluid is provided. The system includes a tank having an interior space and a media container disposed within the interior space. A valve is provided that cooperates with an element within the interior, the valve being movable between an open and a closed position. The valve being biased to the open position when the element is not positioned within the interior space, wherein the interior space is fluidly coupled to the atmosphere in the open position. The valve further being configured to move to a closed position when the element is positioned within the interior space.

  • Patent number: 4674674
Abstract: An improved method for fabricating mobile cryogenic storage vessels insulated with fiberglass batting, one layer of which is non-compressively secured to the outer shell and a second layer non-compressively secured either to the outer shell or to the inner vessel in such manner as to fill all spaces between the support members and so as to leave an annular evacuable space between the layers of insulation or between the layers of insulation and the inner vessel.

  • Patent number: 4272259
Abstract: A fluid-tight container holding active getter and non-sorbable gas at a pressure of at least about one atmosphere, with gas flow passage means through a wall of the container providing communication between the active getter and the container-surrounding environment, and removable closure means for the gas flow passage means. The container may be opened for gas flow communication and exposure of the active getter prior to sealing of a vacuum enclosure in which it is installed, without significant loss or impairment of sorptive capacity of the getter.

  • Patent number: 4215798
Abstract: A double-walled container having spaced-apart inner and outer wall members enclosing a sealed insulation space, with at least a portion of the wall members being formed of a polymeric thermoplastic material selected from the group consisting of polyethylene, polypropylene, polytetrafluoroethylene and polychlortrifluoroethylene, uncoated with any permeation barrier coatings, so as to be gas permeable. A mass of pelletized adsorbent is disposed in the insulation space in thermal contact with the inner wall member. The introduction of cryogenic liquid to the container effects cooling of the inner wall member and adsorbent in thermal contact therewith, thereby causing increased adsorption of gas in the insulation space by the adsorbent for reduction of pressure therein and enhancement of the insulation quality of the insulation space.
