  • Publication number: 20210084880
Abstract: A gated fishing hook includes a shaft portion a first terminal end having a line eye. A hook portion extends from the shaft portion and includes a second terminal end having a point. A notch is defined on an inner surface of the hook portion below the second terminal end. A gate includes a looped wire having a first end coupled to a connection point disposed in between the shaft portion and the hook portion. The gate extends towards the notch and includes a bend spring biased within the notch. The gate is configured to pivot downward against the spring bias when a fish bites the hook, capturing a portion of a fish's lip in between the hook portion and the gate.

  • Patent number: 10024557
Abstract: A heat exchange system includes a core of cross flow passages having a reheater, and a condenser that is downstream of and directly interfaces the reheater. A first water extractor is downstream of the condenser, wherein the first water extractor turns a first fluid from the first pass of the condenser back towards the condenser and produces a second fluid that flows into the second pass of the condenser. A second water extractor is downstream the condenser, wherein the second water extractor turns a third fluid from the second pass of the condenser towards the reheater; and produces a fourth fluid that flows into the reheater.

  • Publication number: 20070125051
Abstract: A liquid extractor may comprise a slot in a duct wall and one or more ridges positioned on the interior duct wall surface. A bend in the duct, a swirl device and/or gravity may throw the liquid portion of the flow onto the wall surface. The slot may be oriented longitudinally along the duct. The ridge(s) may intersect the duct and be positioned to direct the liquid on the wall surface to the slot where the water is extracted. An enclosing sump may be positioned on the outside of the duct and over the slot.

  • Publication number: 20060275717
Abstract: An environmental control system (ECS) for an aircraft may be employed to regulate temperature of air entering a cabin of the aircraft. During conditioning of the air, condensate may form in the air. A multiple-stage condensate extraction unit may be incorporated into the ECS to remove the condensate. The extraction unit may be provided with two fluid collection stages built into a cylindrical duct. The duct may have a bend therein. One of the collection stages may be positioned on an upstream side of the bend while the second one of the stages may be positioned on a downstream side thereof. The combination of the two stages and their positioning on either side of the bend may provide a particularly compact and efficient condensate extraction unit.
