  • Patent number: 10384642
Abstract: Methods and systems for preventing vehicle theft. A video stream of a parking area wherein a vehicle is parked can be captured, the video stream provided by a theft notification service to which the vehicle is pre-registered. The vehicle in the video stream can be identified. The video stream is then analyzed to detect motion with respect to the vehicle. An alert can then be generated if motion is detected.

  • Patent number: 9323993
Abstract: Methods, systems and processor-readable media for identifying a vehicle for street parking management. An initial identification of one or more vehicles detected parked along a street can be generated based on one or more of a group of factors. The initial identification can be communicated to a user of the vehicle by transmitting an image indicative of the vehicle parked along the street (e.g., via a mobile communications device). An operation can then be implemented for requesting a confirmation or a non-confirmation as to whether the vehicle detected and displayed on the image is associated with the user. Upon confirmation, an operation can be implemented for identifying the at least one vehicle as the initial identification. Upon non-confirmation, an operation can be implemented to query to identify the vehicle associated with the user from among a group of vehicles displayed via the image.

  • Publication number: 20060233569
Abstract: An image processing apparatus including tandem print engines is provided for forming an image on an image receiving substrata. The apparatus includes a first print engine and a second print engine downstream from the first print engine. The second print engine is slaved to the first print engine. The first print engine has a first photoreceptor and a first period of revolution. The second print engine has a second photoreceptor and a second period of revolution. The image processing apparatus further includes an intermediate inverter that inverts the image receiving substrate between the first print engine and the second print engine. The inverter determines a phase difference between a first seam signal from the first photoreceptor and a second seam signal from the second photoreceptor.

  • Publication number: 20050004974
Abstract: The Device Model Agent (DMA), the device side technology module in Device Centric Services (DCS) system, is the main focus of this invention. DMA is a thin, efficient applications/services execution environment. DMA provides an embedded services platform for enabling system management applications and services. This allows a flexible, extensible, dynamic services management module allowing networked services to be designed, added, and managed within the system without modifications to devices, DCS system, or DMA itself. While this invention specifically describes the integration of benefits from DMA into document system devices, the concepts are equally applicable in other domains. The DMA runtime environment is a thin software interface layer that resides on a document system device between the Java runtime environment and embedded web server.

  • Publication number: 20020114641
Abstract: A belt drive module and a corresponding method includes or employs a belt that moves along a path, at least one support roller or other structure that supports the belt as it moves along the path, a drive roller that effects movement of the belt along the path, a tension roller that applies a tension force to the belt in order to maintain engagement of the belt with the drive and/or support rollers, at least one processing station (e.g., an image processing station) disposed along the path that performs a process relative to a predetermined position of the belt, and a torque assist drive that applies a torque assist force Td at a location between the drive roller and the tension roller. Torque assist may be provided by a current limited DC motor or by a constant torque friction clutch applied to a roller, e.g., a stripper roller of an electrophotographic imaging system. Advantageously, the torque assist force Td facilitates accurate positioning of the belt (e.g.
