  • Patent number: 9486715
Abstract: A closed loop process for recovering purified processing fluid from contaminated processing fluid. The contaminated processing fluid is subjected to a first separation step, and there is recovered a first stream comprising the bulk of the processing fluid substantially free of contaminants, and a second stream containing processing fluid with concentrated levels of contaminants. The second stream is subjected to a second separation zone to produce a third stream comprising purified processing fluid and a fourth stream comprising contaminants.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 2, 2010
Date of Patent: November 8, 2016
    Assignee: ORG Chem Group, LLC
    Inventor: Michael G. Millard
  • Patent number: 8921601
Abstract: A process for recovering an alkanolamine from a used gas scrubbing stream wherein a dynamic reaction system is employed to maximize conversion of bis-urea compounds typically formed in the gas scrubbing operation into the alkanolamine and minimize the formation of amino ethers which irreversibly convert the alkanolamine. A method of removing waste products from the system by the use of a wiped film evaporator.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 9, 2013
Date of Patent: December 30, 2014
    Assignee: Chem Group, Inc.
